thanks for the reply bro. please what kind of questions do they ask during interview for one using spinsorship letter. cos my sponsor is in luxemburg and I just a family friend. can I claim him as my uncle even if we dont bear same surname?

Prepare for the same questions with those using blocked Acc. But you must have to know more abt your sponsor. Like occupation, how much he earn, his age, address, marital status etc. There must be a strong relationship between you and ur sponsor. I don't really know if they accept letters from Luxembourg. Wish you the best.

Congrats on your admissions, bro! I also gained admission into University of Rostock; same course of study(M.Sc Electrical Engineering). The comments so far about Rostock as regards high unemployment rate calls for a bit of concern sha.UniRostock is my second most preferred school;UniSiegen(M.Sc Mechatronics) really rocks for me (still expecting their notice of admission though).Let's relate on this UniRostock thing.Hope you have applied, online, for a hostel accommodation?

Congrats. I have not even got the admission letter by airmail as promised. I don't know if you have. That being said, I have not looked into the hostel thingy.

The choice is yours bro. You cant eat your cake and have it. Since Ph.D is your aspiration, you can forget student job during studies. During semester break you can work in other cities.

Alright. Thanks.

*Bro, Weingarten asked me to deposit 550euros for accomodation before i get there. Do you think this money is part of the 8820euros or it's different?

Dear all, Handwritten letter of motivation is also missing in the new checklist for Student Visa Application.

Yes I noticed that too! It is a relief grin

only two schools offer M.Sc in Finance. And the deadline don elapse.. Stay in touch so we do it together by next semester..

LOL! I'm quite open minded abt the courses, if I don't get Finance or Economics, I'll settle for an MBA or Even Int'l relations, if I get there I can swap if possible!! I checked out Uni of Magdeburg they have a Course in International Economics and finance and it's still up, I just don't know what to do, let's check that out

my bros. .help
I have got admission into two schools : Honschule Ravensburg Weingarten(M.Eng) and University of Rostock (M.Sc). All for Electrical Engineering. The former is in the South while the latter is in the North.

I need a constructive advice that would help me make a decision. I heard Rostock has a high unemployment rate and need a lot of german to get by.

Thanks
Between the devil and the deep blue sea. Athough isolated in the extreme south of Germany, Ravensburg would have been nice for the sake of Stuttgart but the semester ticket in Southern German doesn't take one far. For Rostock? Hmmm, what can I say, typical east Germany

Hello all, Please I am anticipating admission letter from Deggendorf Institute of Technology DIT(Industrial Engineering), Rottal-Inn, Pfarrkirchen. Please is there anyone who has in-depth knowledge of the school and city? Please help a brother out… You can please reply under these headings (but you are not limited to it); I. Quality of school II. Life and living expenses in the city (…and availability of student jobs) III. Settling down after school Please no information is too small, I believe there are quite a number of people heading to these schools, and you will be helping not just me but us make the right choice. Thank you.
They are both in Bavaria. Aber, Pfarwhat? Deggendorf anyday. For the quality of schools, you can do your personal research in that respect.

Please I just got admission to study masters of public policy at university of Erfurt. I want to know if the city issues two years residency at once or just a year and ask me to present another proof of financial support before extending it.
Also I will like to know about how easy it is getting a part time job.
Eke40seven:

Okay no qualms bro. You really love this your city. Different strokes for different folks. However, note that you will get a mini job anywhere in Germany if your German language is good.
However, note that I am not discouraging anyone, my first and only choice last two years was a school in Dessau Saxony Anhalt, (no semester ticket in the school) and no jobs. I mean for Non-German speakers but yet I would have gone. My point is, if you have a better option, please take it!
You must be making a killing profit travelling the whole of two hours to Leipzig to teach music considering all the money for transportation. You go come teach me too so I go follow you chop small.

Hi guys, to everyone who have gained admission to JLU, I say congratulation. I hope you have already done your applications to the studentenwerk for a room. If you haven't, my advise is that you do it immediately.

Thanks bro, I saw lots of accommodation both on and off campus. For a Naija student with need for both study and work, which would you advise, also cheap one? z.B; off campus are cheaper but how about tfare to school, is it free? I believe you over there knows the environ better.

The deadline is actually from CAU on daad site; states students should apply latest the stipulated date or it becomes harder to get accommodation.

And pls, the stated amount is per?

I still don't get. There is no on/off campus here as schools don't provide hostels. That is provided by Studentenwerk and they are not "on campus". The other option would be private, which could be advantageous or disadvantageous.
What deadline do you mean? Application deadline? Enrollment deadline? Payment deadline? Please be more succinct. If it's application deadline, then why are you worrying about accommodation when you have not even (or only just) applied?
And what stated amount are you talking about?

I'm a prospective Kieler. I pray the admission works out. What stand do they have on English proficiency? I told them that I will take the test by August. I also submitted the letter from my school stating that I did my first degree in English language and I also submitted my IELTS result which expired February this year. I pray I'm convincing enough
