Buhari Mounts Pressure On Jonathan To Mediate In FG/ Militants Talks by SB2020: 9:51am On Jun 07, 2016 |
The presidency is intensifying efforts to persuade former President Goodluck Jonathan to mediate between the federal government and militant groups in the Niger Delta. TheBrief was reliably informed that President Muhammadu Buhari believed that the warring militants will listen to Jonathan, the immediate past president and a respected son of the region. “The ministers are unhappy over the directive because they are at the mercy of the Minister of Finance Buhari and JonathanIt was gathered that earlier efforts by the presidency to nominate ministers from the region, especially, the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, was rejected by the militants. “The government had earlier reach out to the militants but they rejected Amaechi as a mediator in the proposed dialogue. Other ministers from the region, including the Minister of the Niger Delta, were rejected by the militants,” a top source in Aso Villa disclosed to TheBrief According to the source, during the closed door meeting held last week, Buhari asked Jonathan to speak to elders in the region to calm the Niger Delta Avengers, as well as reach out to the militants that the FG is willing to listen to their demands. Jonathan had reportedly demanded that the Nmilitary should be withdrawn tactically from the troubled Niger Delta zone to assure the militants of government’s readiness to talk. source http://www.thebriefng.com/2016/06/07/presidency-mounts-pressure-jonathan-mediate-fgmilitants-talks/?ct=t(Your_Exclusive_Brief_7_06_20166_7_2016)&mc_cid=4a8b6687fb&mc_eid=6630453c14 |

GEJ will not do that. Everyday silly Nigerians and supporters of this government insult GEJ everyday. Even when GEJ left government peacefully they still kept pulling him from all angle. GEJ did what Buhari couldn't do in 2011, yet these people are not satisfied. Buhari never came to the party with boko haram. He escalated it by saying the fight was against the north. They should go and sit down. And for those who think the FG will win through military might, they lie and the FG knows this. Yes, GEJ can turn the tide around because of the sentiments. But I'll advice GEJ not to involve himself in any of such for this government. This government and all their supporters don't love GEJ. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Jonathan it shall be well with you all the days of your life. Personally I don't like your kind of silence and your support for one evil Nigeria but your peaceful disposition, your maturity, your tolerance, your forgiving heart is second to none. this is a man they have painted black, they tarnished his reputation, his image dented such that when any one hears Jonathan, he'll declare "the devil is here ".What manner of man are you, may God give me your kind of heart. Amen 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Freeworldbutfre:Jonathan did but Buhari did not welcome the invitation to attend the security council meeting. The meeting was set up in other to find a lasting solution to the Boko haram problem...Nigerian political leaders will never put thier party or sentiment aside to solve a national problem as long as their party is not in power ,they would rather see the country burn to the ground just because an opposition party is in power. |

God bless GEJ for always doing all he can to save this country........if only leaders can listen without letting pride and arrogance influence their thinking.....they will do much better than expected. |
