UK Government Reacts To Reports Of Buhari & Jonathan Meeting In London by mezynaija(m): 7:24am On Jun 09, 2016 |
The government of the United Kingdom wednesday refuted reports in some national dailies alleging that President Muhammadu Buhari was in London at its instance to meet with former president Goodluck Jonathan with a view to adressing the current crisis in the Niger Delta region. The refutal was contained in a terse statement issued by the Press Officer of the British High Commission in Abuja, Joe Abuku. Buhari is currently in London to take care of minor health issue. The statement reads: “Media reports suggesting that the British government has set up a meeting with President Buhari, former President Jonathan and representatives of Niger Delta groups to discuss a solution to recent violence in the Niger Delta region are incorrect. “We are aware that President Buhari is currently in London seeking medical attention. We are not aware of any meetings on the Niger Delta while he is there” Source: http://www.jtownconnect.com/2016/06/avengers-uk-govt-finally-reacts-to.html 5 Likes

The only solution to unrest in ND is implementation of National confab of 2014. No amount of close or open door meeting will bring lasting solution until Nigeria is re structured into 6 regions. Meanwhile GMB supporters should pray for him now that he has cancer not just minor sickness or infection. Lalasticlala, seun, mynd44 please has Freeman been burried. Please i want to know. He is been missed here. God console his family once again. Amen! 22 Likes |

So must buhari initiate the process?? Can't our common sense, over sabi twitter senator lobby for the constitutional amendment to continue?? Is that not his job?? 8 Likes |

So British government has ears and could read news. We have been clamouring about ill-fated amalgamation of Nigeria there was no response from you people. The killing of innocent people soon after 2011 election and till date-no response. The unlawful incarceration of political opponents in Nigeria-no reply. British I fear your hypocrisy. Or has it got anything to do with fear? 6 Likes 1 Share |
