An atheist have nothing to gain by encouraging people to do their own research and think for themselves probably break free from mental shackles and religious delusions.

But on the other hand Religions have everything to loose if people are willing to let go of wishful thinking, think for themselves, relegate books of primitive superstition only for literary entertainment and not base their lives on books written by men there are supposedly smarter than, break free from mental bonds and the wishful fantasy of immortality in a fairy kingdom after they are dead sold to them by religions.

Freedom from Religions and disturbing superstitions breaks a mind free from mental slavery - the african mind more so from psychological bond of a seeming ended colonialism.
