And one mumu on another thread about lekki was abusing Lagos state govt like say na govt dey incharge of rain. Go to china, america and see how flood dey destroy things.

Majority of them complained out of hatred.
They are born with it and it's engrave on their DNA to hate.

The phenomenon is caused by Elnino. Because of their ignorance, they will never learn to guard against such occurrence and how to survive it.

The problem is all over the world presently. Of recent. Texas got flooded. And it's summer time ooo.

Name it, all the western world are been flooded. France, USA, Japan, etc

Noone can fight a natural disaster

That is the exact reason why African countries are not moving forward as they should...

You are right. If this happened in France forintsnce, see how Britons will be attacking French govt for not being up to task. They won't say 'wetin concern them with France'.

We have a lot of problems here in Nigeria to last us for a lifetime.
you want to add Ghana's own on top.
did Ghana request for any assistance from Nigeria. It's just a simple advice - do not litter, manage your waste properly. It is something we should learn from. We should endeavour to comprehend before passing judgements.

Thank you.
They don't know how much Almighty God has done for us by giving us God fearing people as governors in Lagos state who have been doing their best in building the drainage system for the control and prevention of floods.

undecided How much will it take a government to put up a good drainage system? African politics though, But Ghana still has 24/7 power supply than Nigeria and you can't see light out even when it rains. #Fact
. It's not advisable to leave power on when its raining heavily, electric current travels at almost zero resistance during such conditions.

Poor drainage system
Accra like many African cities suffers from poor urban planning... Billions have been donated to solve the issue but nothing has been done other than politicking. The people also play a role too it's a collective fault

Don't be a fool. They wouldn't experience such if their government built a good drainage system within the city. The blame is on the government.

Flood is a natural disaster .. It can only prevented to some point but a drainage cannot stop flood.

The question is that when was Abuja built in contrast with Accra ... What's the topography of Abuja Does Lagos not suffer from similar flash floods There are satellite cities also being created which are free from such and are sustainable

Geographically comparing the both is a big NO! Accra is like Lagos, have boundary with the Atlantic. The Rain in Accra is more heavier then that of Abj.

The only problem with Accra is their Drainage system, the Govt ne to build another one to compliment the one dey v now which tend to get full when it rains heavy. They need to constancy remove sand, cos most part of the drainage v become inland, that even cows can climb down to eat grasses.

There is an ongoing project known as conti project going up there to resolve the drainage issue. It's a case of poor urban planning but I see it being solved with the complete ruin of the kwame nkrumah interchange
