You can also construct polytunnel using cheap materials like PVC pipes, Greenhouse film is about $30 for 20 square metres. It's better to use greenhouse polyethylene clear covers they last up to 5 years. |

onyeogalu1: Ventilation and temperature control to prevent crop scourging. Temperature inside can go haywire in a hot afternoon in the tropics - plants will scourge under such condition. the same reason they put net on the sides 1 Like |

With the pix of the green house you posted, water is definitely going to be an issue, it will enter through into the house and can cause serious issue with the crops in the green house.the roofing is perfect but the surrounding should ve had some kind of protection cover in case of erosion. It sometin that can't be overlook with that kit, would advice an upgrade during your construction for someone who doesn't know anytin on green house might not notice that very very important point.by the time you start having erosion water inside the kit, even your tomatoes in d bag even on mulch won't be spared with the infected water soaking the bag. I ve included the Saro kit pix to back up my explanation and on d type of upgrade you should make on d surrounding of your kit.kit is not abt been beautiful at sight but to do wat it's meant for after investing millions to erect and will advice people who wish to invest in green house farming not to get scared or push back with the millions involved in d having these houses compared to the returns involved.by the time you start cashing in on your yields, you won't even remember the amount you used to set the house up cos you will definitely be smiling to your bank and it's just probably after 4-5yrs before any repair can be done on d house if well managed.also is a pix of a green house produce which will definitely command market which you can't compare with no matter the management practice involved on an open field to the one from a green house. If you like wat you see on the Saro kit, you can reach me and check the thread on green house agronomist for more pictures of harvest after 2months of transplanting on both tomatoes and ever green pepper. ChasteGhuy: You either pollinate by hand or keep bees in the greenhouse. If there are other methods, others should please contribute. |

Cauliflower farming is very possible in Nigeria just like cabbage. It is a vegetable that is very nutritious, has great taste and beautiful appearance. The demand for cauliflower is growing because of their health benefits, it contains carbohydrate, protein, vitamins and minerals. Cauliflowers are planted and harvested within 3 months. A good vegetable for vegetarians. The market for it is huge. https://www.enibest.com.ng/all-posts/agriculture/cauliflower-farming-in-nigeria-complete-guide/ |
