patches689: How will you attack residential hones at night and you claim to be killing terrorists. An average compound in the area is estimated to have about 20-25 people including women and children. The fact that they feed the media with lies doesn't mean people can't reason. The secret report carried out by Pakistani shows civilian causalities were under reported. Are you trying to tell us that there were no children in those Compounds? Or children stay in a different area? "It is also possible that more civilians die in attacks on buildings than the reporting indicates. The Bureau’s Naming the Dead project has found that the deaths of women are particularly vulnerable to being underreported. " 1 Like

Here's the TOP 10 MOST POWERFUL WARSHIPS IN AFRICA. If you are wondering about the military strength of African countries, here is an article to help you decide. Combat Heart has compiled a comprehensive list of the TOP 10 MOST POWERFUL WARSHIPS IN AFRICA. The criteria and parameters used by COMBATHEART to rank this vessels include: i) Firepower ii) Year of commissioning iii) Role (e.g guided missile, multipurpose e.t.c) Note, this list doesn't include Aircraft carriers, Helicopter carriers, Submarine, Landing ships, Auxiliary ships or just plain big ships. Unless those ships carries enough firepower to meet the standard of a war-fighting vessel. No 1)The FREMM Multipurpose Frigate. This is a class of Multipurpose frigates built by DCNS/Armaris. It took Belarus and Russia only 3 months to train 5000 troops. How will you you be giving military men basic training when their house is on fire. I guess they are used to training terrorist that's why. How many months do you think it takes to give basic training before you start talking of COIN training. For drone strike in pakistan, it's not on record anywhere that they killed 3000 terrorist. Many claim 2500+ while some claimed as small as 1500 and we know many were civilians. Even the number of strikes never reached 400, am sure it's 300+.

lionel4power:Lionel wot of d nns thunder I believe dere are more power projecting than d p18n class .tnx on second thought all our ships are opv so I think it would be better if u drop all NNS from the ranking. wen we get there we will knw |

giles14: Well Combat Heart Blog writers had a serious debate as to which Nigerian Naval vessel should be featured in the article, but right here right now, we do not know the type of armament the Thunder has installed. The US strip the ship before handing it over to NN. If you have a good source of information about the thunder please share with us so we can update it subsequently. NNS THUNDER CURRENT KNOWN WEAPON SYSTEM ONBOARD Armament: sole Otobreda 76 mm nothing else... its hardly a warship for now |

lionel4power:I'm kinda iffy whether Thunder and the new P18N vessel should be classified as war fighting vessels rather than patrol vessels such as the South African navy Warrior class strike vessels which have been converted to OPVs. With limited defensive or offensive capabilities at the conventional warfare level. |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by lionel4power(m): 4:34pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
MikeCZA:if you read the article, you'll notice that the criterias used to rank the list includes: i) Firepower ii) Year of commissioning iii) Role (e.g guided missile, multipurpose e.t.c) Also note that NNS Thunder is not on the list but NNS Aradu was featured. If a vessel has sufficient firepower then it will be featured, if an OPV has alot of firepower over a destroyer with less firepower then the OPV will be ranked over the destroyer |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Iblawi1: 5:04pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
MikeCZA:Do you have full info on the specification of those vessels? No. People only comment based on what they think it has. Your warrior class are in the class of NNS Ayam or NNS Ekpe not NNS thunder or P18N. |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by MikeCZA: 5:22pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
Iblawi1:I think we both appreciate the fact that both vessels lack capabilities such as anti-air and anti-ship. Armed with medium naval gun and other secondary light guns. 20mm, 30mm etc. |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by MikeCZA: 5:45pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
lionel4power:In terms of fire power the P18N is lacking. Armed similar to the Warrior class strike vessels: One medium-sized naval gun(76mm+), two light guns(20-30mm) and small machine guns(12,7mm+) I also think the Algerian and South African frigates shouldn't be bundled together. The Algerian frigates pack powerful radars, longer range and more capable anti-ship and land attack missiles and heavier main gun. They also have offensive anti-submarine capability. The cherry on top is the Mokopa missile equipped Lynx helicopters. Ours are equipped with only 12,7mm machine guns. There's a gap between these vessels. 3 Likes |

Showcasing my best. Forget about the Gripen, raptor, strike eagle, flankers, typhoon etc this is the real deal. They depend on EWA for survival while it has a high survival rate itself in any AA/AD areas.
