simplycarro: I have come to find out that the Biafra propagated in recent times is not even by the Igbo, but by people who feel too insecure to hear the word Igbo. The real Igbo (elites, elders, youths) don't necessarily look forward for a biafra detached from Nigeria, but an inclusive biafra. The Igbo is to big to start including itself with any tribe but only crave to make sure it's unity is not tampered with with ugly propaganda. Ijaw is a very nice tribe, they have been living with the Igbos in mutually respect for years now hence Ijaw has nothing to do with the Igbo ethnic Group except been neighbour and having similar political interest with to the Igbo. The Biafra you talk about shows you jst but an ignorant who think all you see on Nairaland is what The real Igbo speak about. The major aim now is to create a more united and stronger Igbo speaking nationality. For your info. The biafra Igbo cry for is an inclusive state where every potential of the region has to be efficiently utilized, where people life and property can't always be at risk or targetted because of a mere mention of the word Igbo. The day you talk about Niger delta without including Igbo in it, I will attack any Igbo who puts his mouth in it. 3 Likes |

This MEND betrayed itself where it says it is hoping that under Buhari government for true and fiscal federalism and resource control be restored to Nigeria. No Niger delta person can ever believe that Buhari who just said that they killed two million people to acquire and enjoy what they are enjoying today can restore true and fiscal federalism to Nigeria. Bunkum version of MEND, perhaps, from Lai Mohammed's office. |

cheruv: Cheruv, any Igbo leader who truly has vision should call for the unification of Igboland into one region. Igbo leaders need not be convinced before they understand that all Igbo communities should be in the same geopolitical region. If they are not working towards unifying all parts of Igboland into one geopolitical region, it either means that they do not deeply understand the situation or that they feel that splitting Igboland into different regions would benefit Igbo people more, which is a totally wrong and myopic ideology. So, now, the question is, what can the youths and men of vision do to send a serious message to the Igbo political elites to make it a priority to bind all parts of Igboland into one region? Igbo leaders have missed this point for so long. Without any excuses, they need to declare this point a priority and work strategically to achieve it. |
Re: Niger Delta Officially Disassociates Themselves From Biafra by Nobody: 6:13pm On Jun 16, 2016 |
Donarozzi:Never have I supported the inclusion of non-Igboid minorities into Igboland. Anybody agitating for the inclusion of the Ijoids and the Edoids into an Igbo republic is setting a potential booty trap of conflicts. We should learn from the mistakes of our fathers during the ill-fated civil war where supposed brothers assisted the enemy in our defeat. Unifying all parts of Igboland and pushing for a solely Igbo republic should be the our agenda rather than the nonsense IPOB's and MASSOB are blindly clamouring for. |
