Guess you do not know the type of people that exist in the various health institutions. The broad classification of humans are GOOD PEOPLE & BAD PEOPLE Whether you are a nurse, doctor, pharmacist, receptionist, attendant, pastor, student, imam, sheikh, bishop, e.t.c if you are bad, you are bad; "Are you looking for demons? Do not look too far, they live in people" ![]() freedomlast: 1 Like |

bigsmoke2:I work in the environment too. I am like what do they need an helipad for when they are not enough common ambulances to convey patients which is not free in the first place. Spending money on white elephant projects while some basic things are out there crying for attention. And they keep on increasing prices without changes in services or amenities. 1 Like |

Encountered similar issue though he didn't die but the attitude of this health workers is nothing to write home about. Lackadaisical attitude, chewing gums are the best things they can do. In uch then, 5patients died within 2days in my presence and the attitude of these health workers contributed to their untimely death. It's so pathetic that you pray for death to take some of the patients when u see them in pains and they don't get attended to. Try beg them to attend to them, they will tell you to face your business there. Situations like this make me regret being a Nigerian. But this is not a matter of APC or PDP, it's beyond that. May God help us, RIP TO UT DAD @POSTER |

Sorry for your loss. The useless hospital killed him. You should have gone to a private hospital. Not that Nigerian private hospitals are good, they're just a little better than government owned ones. Nigeria has the worst health sector in the world. In fact, nothing in Nigeria works well, nothing! And nothing ruins a country more than endemic corruption. |

There are at least 5 tertiary health facilities in Lagos state. LASUTH, LUTH, FMC ebutemeta, Federal neuropsychiatric hospital yaba, national orthopaedic hospital, Igbobi. So..yea, that should do for 20million people if the primary centres work well and if people visit the hospitals early for their ailments. We can't even strip Lagos government of the credit. Best managers around, I tell you. PS: I don't work for them in Lagos. #TeamKano persius555: 1 Like |

I know of a National hospital staff who had sever back pain, whenever the pains come, it prevents him from sitting, he could only lie. So he was diagnosed in NH where he works, the doctors concluded he needed surgery. But another doctor who knows how careless they are with surgeries advice this man to go abroad and sick medical attention, which he did. He went to Saudi Arabia, what they said needed surgery in Nigeria was treated with drugs within one week in Saudi Arabia. 1 Like |

twoondei:You do not support any cause not with these your damn insidious coloured justifications that littered your drops on your submission. You wouldnt have written in such a tone if you were the victim like the OP. Just get it into your brain that LASUTH is a rot of hell with untrained indifferent health workers who do not value human lives. Your prooving of their these and that does not change the general mess and unprofessional outlook of their staff. Call a spade a spade and outrighly condem their entire system with raising unjustify excuses of their abilities and capabilies in the midst of DECAY. You sound too modest to be true. Hope you will not narrate his kind of ordeal, peradventure you are visited with such. OP, MAY GOD COMFORT YOU THE MORE. 1 Like |

Nigerians and their eye service. We are getting what we paid for. If you need good care pay for it or better still get your ass abroad. Every Nigerian is now a saint throwing shades at doctors and nurses, these are one of the most pristine professions in the world. Ever ask your self why they treat Nigerians like scum but when they eventually hops on the next plane abroad they all acts professionally, huh ![]() They are the product of our own faulty system as we all are. When you breath, eat and defecate in Nigeria, there is no how your mentality will change as we are living in the prison of our own creation..…the Merry go round of bad attitudes and bullshits. 3 Likes |

Its sad that this is the situation in every government owned hospital, many years ago I had a bout of malaria and I went to our university clinic to see a doctor, I met two nurses chatting away their time and when they finally gave me attention they said that there was no doctor to see me that I had to come back on Monday!! what?? this was on a Friday and you are asking someone that could barely walk to come back on Monday? anyway I left that place and vowed never to return to that place till I leave that school( unizik) and I never did. Some weeks back I took my dad to see an E.N.T specialist at Nauth Nnewi and after three whole visits we could not see the specialist. we had to go to a private hospital which is ironically owned by one of the doctors working in the same hospital before we got attended to. At times I wonder what is intrinsically wrong with this country why are we like this? At times I wonder if we are cursed in this country as nothing seems to work. May God deliver us Amen. 1 Like |

armadeo: You're quite wrong dear. How would you punish someone on grounds of moral rather than ethics. It's wrong. I actually do more for my patients, in fact I always go extra mile. But I hate people bragging about their fault. Your junior colleague is a human and has conscience, so some big issues could be disturbing her. It's her right to go home after a thorough job in the day, that's why some Drs are to be on call. |

nuelyoyo: Thank God for her, but I hope not the type that Nigerian Drs told Akunyili that she needed a surgery while Drs abroad said she didn't need that. You that's trying to ridicule Nigerian Drs, where are you now and what have you achieved in your field. What have you done for humanity. Mtchwww |

freedomlast: I'm very sure your mind is more appalling than mine. You're so hypocritical and don't understand how the hospital works. It's not about emotions, it's about reality. The Dr also have her problems to settle amd the 'oga' that punished her was probably supposed to do the job. |

drered:my dear, the Nigerian health sector is something else. You need to know someone who has a high authority in the hospital before they treat u well.when I went for my operation last year,I cried at the sight I saw.People rushed into the emergency ward were treated like trash. My operation was performed by expert doctors because my church member whom my mum spoke to made sure of it.I had over 10 medical personnel in the theater with me during my operation because the woman from my church who happens to be in charge of the Emergency unit was on d neck of everyone who was to perform the operation. I saw how lives were treated in d hospital.Even after my operation when I was wheeled in a stretcher to the female ward, the staff in blue (2of them) told me to come down from the stretcher by myself after an operation ![]() Op,please take heart on your loss |

Realtouchnot: No, my mind is ok. First of all, I don't need to understand how a hospital works, so long as I am a human being, and I expect that someone who calls herself a doctor would have some bit of compassion in her. It isn't compulsory to be a Doctor if you can't exercise the basic requirement of valuing a human life above your own convenience. My mom worked for 35 years in the medical field as a very respected and cherished practitioner, so don't try to bamboozle me here. You couldn't even exercise your mind to consider the fact that the situation described is terrible and abnormal. Instead of excusing such a terrible display of non-nonchalance and animal-like behavioral attitudes, you are here giving ludicrous support. The statements you made were disappointing to say the least. |

Realtouchnot: Can you just read the drivel you typed here? If you are a doctor, you shouldn't be allowed to practice at all. And to think, if you are truly a doctor, that you must have spent at least 8-10 years in a university! Or maybe it's the curses rained down on you and your murderous type that's making your intellect malfunction like this. |
