Bad News Bad News Bad news Policy Implications - CBN finally floats the naira today... By the new exchange rate regime, CBN would allow the Naira to float against the US dollar at the inter-bank market, rather than holding on to a fixed peg. What this means, however, is that buyers of foreign exchange for importation of goods, holiday, school fees, medical tourism, online payments etc, will have to source from the inter-bank market-determined rates and will no longer be able to buy forex at N199 or whatever official rate the CBN decides to adopt. Are you sure? I have seen pple with full funding from schl put that as proof of finances and then SOA of 1M-2M! I believe the financial award letter is of more importance. Arcayo: |

favour0011:Seriously, I don't understand why people do this. They just put fear into the heart of people unnecessarily. Like they did to me too. My sponsor only wrote a letter and signed. There was no need for an affidavit of support. 3 Likes |

habukoh:There is no way to make a clearer scan copy once u reduce or compressed your documents to let's say 75dpi. I encountered the same problem when scanning mine too. I submitted it like that and believe the vo can see and read it. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Arcayo: 11:02am On Jun 16, 2016 |
jinglesbaby:To student yes you are right, but to VO am not sure Do you know you won't have access to the financial award funds before/immediately you resume, you are not paying for your flight and accommodation from it, if the 1m-2m is yours better but if it's for your sponsor he/she mightneed to still boost the account, you still need to convince the VO you can pay for your flight and other expenses b4 you having access to your funding . Without financial award SOA can work alone but financial award can not work without SOA, so you can see the one that is most important. |

I have gain admission to study Intensive French Language and culture in McGill university for one session.I am 23 years and currently self employed.I own a grocery shop and it is registered in my name. I have gotten the acceptance letter from the school after paying fully for my tuition and insurance. I have also fully paid for my off campus accommodation (Home Stay). My mother will be sponsoring me. I will attach my personal bank statement with about Thousand CND. I don't have a business bank statement but have my business registration and tax clearance. My mother is a trader and only pay tax to the municipal authority as her business is not registered. What are my chances of getting Visitor's Visa for my short studies? |
