For an immigrant visa, no. Travel isn't even considered.

Am David, am a Nigeria and my wife is an American citizen. We got married on January xx 2016. She has filed for a spouse visa for me to join her in USA. Our application has been approved and now in Nebraska USA. NVC.. My question is on medical grounds. I got to know I will have to do a medical exam, I have search and look at what kind of medical is done. I saw something like tetanus, chest x-rays, STDs, hepatitis, oral polio, etc well according to my mum she said I have done all that when I was born but she has no proof. Like all these tetanus, oral polio, you know. Child immunization. Please do I have to go back and do it all over again...should I also go do the hepatitis A and B. Or should I just be patience until when the medical exam reaches and I tell the doctor....? And please will these cause a delay on my application been processed. Am so confused.

Everyone has to complete the medical exam as part of the immigrant visa process. They will draw blood to determine what immunizations are required. Just be patient and wait until you are provided information about this step because there are specific medical centers from which you must get specific tests completed.

I am married to a us citizen and we re staying together in America. I have gotten my Ssn and conditional green card but the problem am having now is that she wants a divorce and don't if I accept her divorce and marry someone else if it will affect my green card and my citizenship

There are a number of factors that can affect this which include the other parent. If you have questions, your best best is to contact American Citizens Services at the nearest embassy to determine if your child is eligible for citizenship; otherwise, you will have to petition for them as an IR-2.

Am wondering why is it that verification of academic documents take so long at the embassy. i thought since these are documents issued by a countries national body an embassy can easily verify such documents easily. this is my 5th week on AP in Kenya and i have also an Ethiopian friend who has been on Ap for 196 days to verify his university certificates. we are wondering can the reasons be stated on 221g pink paper be different from what they are looking for during the further processing time. Can a CO state a reason on 221g form like verify educ documents and instead they look for something different? i mean we are wondering

You may be in admin processing for a number of reasons, but verification of educational documents is not one of them. We do not provide specific reasons for administrative processing, but it is a separate process from document requests.

So it appears that you: A) had to get documents verified, and B) are also in admin processing.

And if ones priority dates is 2months after the present priority date, when does one expect an appointment date to enable them get documents available and also complete medicals. Sir, can you give me a list of hospitals where medical exams for immigrants visa can be done. I reside here in Lagos. And secondly can I go ahead.. My filing is done by my wife and she is of the opinion I get it done.. Because she wants to file another form i485 immigrants petition for permanent residence. What should I do.

Just wait until you are contacted - you will be provided all of the information on where to go and what to do when it is time for your interview. If you do it too far in advance of the interview, you get to pay to do it again.

My k1 is finally approved. However my fiance has an issue. His passport no longer has six months validity on it. Should we have the interview with the current passport number(expires in Oct of this year) that was listed on his bio metrics page, THEN get it renewed or have it renewed first before the interview? I am unsure whether the Nigerian passport number remains the same from the old passport to a renewal passport.

The I-130 petition that my wife filed was approved recently. Now we are waiting for the receipt number to start the NVC process with my wife (IR1). We got married in 2012.
Here is my story.
I was admitted to US legally. In 2012, I was in Removal Proceedings; failing to attend the school (F-1 Visa). I was served the NTA by an ICE officer on May 21, 2012 about the proceedings. I was detentioned the same day I was served the paper for about 3 hours. My wife (who was my girlfriend then), paid a bond of $1500 and i was released.
Note that; The NTA states that- I did not attend XX school on or about December 2011 and my SEVIS was subsequently terminated on 22 February 2012.
I showed up at my court hearing on August 30th, 2012. I asked for a VD then the IJ granted me a voluntary departure. Immigration Judge told me as soon as I arrive my country I should go to the embassy and do the paperwork so that DHS can release the bond my GF paid. Also she said that when I do the paperwork that means my case is closed and I won't have a bar. Then I timely left US right after the hearing. I did everything the IJ told me to.
I talked to couple of lawyers and they believe I do not have any bars because I timely departed and my unlawful presence is not more then a year.
So obviously I am gonna mention this case in the NVC online form DS-260 on the part that is asking for previous visa cancellations. I feel like this past incident of mine might cause problems on my process even though I am not in admissible due to my case. (I have all the docs and evidence with me to show all what happened).
So now, I am just wondering what could potentially happen?
I know it is a unique case but I would like to know if the visa interviewer would just deny the visa and send it to Administrative P. Or they would check the docs I have come to a conclusion that I am admissible.
Also, should I include my docs about this removal case in advance, on the civil documents part in NVC?
And how long would it take to get the IR-1 Visa?

It's best to get the passport renewed before the interview if you are this close to expiring.

We don't just choose to deny a visa and send it to admin processing. If there is information we need from you, it will be requested. You may want to, given your circumstances, look into getting a waiver from DHS. That is really the only hold up that I could see in all of this is that if they did place a ban on you, we could not move forward until they provided a waiver.
