I need someone with Upwork knowledge here, got my first job, but I don't really understand how it works.... how will I know the client has funded the project? So I won't just work and later receive no money....

what's your niche...and did you accumulate that with $5 gig.

Video animation and video editing, i only got about 3 orders directly from people who saw my gigs cuz i was a newbie so my gigs are always at the extreme end when gigs related to my niche are searched, bulk of my earnings came from "BUYER REQUESTS" the scope is this, you can make 10 offers in a day so all you need do is download the application on your phone, keep refreshing the page until you see requests with 0 bid, its easier getting the job when you are the first or second person to bid for the job but if its above 1 or 2 please dont waste ur offer cuz there would be alot of offers within 24hrs you might regret wasting just one lol

Video Editing and animation, i do more of custom offers which we have to bargain the price before the offer is sent but yes most were $5 and i also got a special text i send along your finished work using scope to ask for tips, so far out of 12 clients it worked on 3 lol hoping it works on those who are yet to acknowledge the work i delivered.

You just dropped the bomb. I joined fiverr 3 months ago and that's exactly what I do..I discovered it myself though. I have not used buyer request for 3 weeks now because I keep having repeated buyers.

Not all the time bc I got a job after 23 persons have bid for same.
