Applying logic to it.

What do we use in standing? Two Legs.

Who in the picture is more vulnerable prior to usage of leg? C.

Hypothetically, Empathy might make you feel for the nursing mother but reasoning would make you give up your seat for C.

So my answer is C.

They all deserved a seat. Practically speaking, before I will allow one of those individuals standing to have my seat at the expense of me standing, I will have a negotiation with the other three people seating beside and behind me.

Once I strike a conversation with them and they feel convinced, then the job is done. At this stage, courtesy demands we stand up and direct each of them to the empty seat once occupied by us.

Although, plans don't always fall on fertile grounds. If they those individuals I strike a discussion with refuse to stand up, then I will use the "first come, first serve" tactic I.e given the nursing mother an opportunity to sit.
