bro, not only poundsmaker is absent here, there are many other experienced people that are as well silent here just because of people that are not ready to learn; and some other sets with childish questions and answers. Some people do not even know anything, yet they belief they know all... Some sets of people even find it difficult to read some pages they missed before asking already answered question. I could remember one learner here that called me 419 because of the info I disclosed.. Honestly, I just discover that " ti Eeya ba pe Lori igbe, eesin keesin maa nba Eeya ni be ni. If one stays long while defecating, some disgusting house flies will meet you there. I wish everyone best

Congrats on your successful application. You are now a prospective cadet.
Meanwhile, relating to a thousandth, what is your application number? Lets speculate the number of applicants

A friend applied on sundai and was 64+ in thousands! Hopefuli, under SSC, total applicants should fall under 70+ in thousands.

Bros, u guys ar mixing up de two & creating more confusion. First Sch. Leaving Testimonial is different from First Sch Leaving Cert, though the two may serve the same purpose. The former, i.e FSLT is issued to u by de Sch u attended as evidence dat u actually attended the sch from this year to that year. While de latter, i.e FSLC is issued to u by de Exam body dat conducted de First School Leaving Certificate Exam (FSLCE), which is usually de State Ministry of Edu. Again, while FSLC, in most cases, contains de result u obtained at the FSLCE, FSLT does not. However, both may serve the same purpose but FSLC speaks louder dan FSLT. Same thing equally applyies to Secondary School. The testimonial given to u when leaving sec sch after SS3 is different from de main Cert from WAEC or NECO
Like i said, this is my personal experience. The testimonial by the state (which is clearly written "Testimonial" and nothing like certificate is on it) was issued to me around when i left the school but the FSCL was obtained around when the current Airforce zonal screening held and First School Leaving Certificate is written on it in full (nowhere on it does it say testimonial!). And again, you are right, they both serve the same purpose as I've been relying on the Testimonial up till this moment but its better to have the main FSLC because you never can tell with these military guys and their requirement specifications.

Whats tha business?

You are very correct. And that is why I said that the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) speaks louder than the First School Leaving Testimonial (FSLT).

Hi guys, please I need clarification on the referee part; one of the instructions on the recruitment portal said to be recommended by 2 recognizable referees.

Question:

Does the person who sign the 'reference form' (the form a passport is to be attached to) together with another person who signs the attestation of local govt. area constitute the two referees or

Two different 'reference forms' have to be filled in addition to the local govt. attestation form, all 3 signed by different individuals or

A referee completes a 'reference form', while another referee signs both a reference form and the local govt. attestation form or

Somehow both are the same, either get 2 reference forms signed or sign two 'attestation of local govt. area forms'?

Which is it? Can someone kindly shed more light on the part of the 2 recognizable referees in relation to the local govt attestation form (the one without space for affixation of passport).

Note: Both the 'reference form' and 'attestation of local govt. area' forms are to be signed by 'appropriate' officers from the candidate's state of origin.

Thanks in anticipation...

did u apply this June? If yes, we could say there are fewer applicants this year

whether few applicants or not. the standard still remains. never used numbers of applicants to determined shortlistment.

two referees forms and one LGA attestation form making it 3 forms..
one person i.e. either a military personnel or LG chairman or secretary can signed both referee form and LGA attestation form. if you are lucky to have 3 people sign the 3 forms. u good.

My dear NL in thy house, I'm not here to discourage you guys but to tell you the bitter truth, this is not the time to be debating about FSLC or testimonial...From my findings, the shortlisted candidates DSSC/SSC 2014 that faced the AFSB were told to come along with their ''TESTIMONIALS'' which means your primary and secondary testimonials are sufficient. For the doubting thomas in thy house you can google DSSC 2014 shortlisted candidates for the selection board on daily trust newspaper or SSC 2014 shortlisted candidates for the selection board on daily trust newspaper. For the DSSC 2014, 15 candidates were shortlisted for the Army forces selection board and 4 made it to the final list . Some states were 3 bayelsa 2. And for the Medical doctors in thy house, 96 were shortlisted to faced the AFSB DSSC 2014 only 36 made the final list nothing like state by state in the medical doctor list, it was a combined list even the final list was still combined.

I saw a figure of 70k+ for those that apply for the SSC 2016, let me start with my rough estimation as a physicist, Assuming 50k put in for SSC 2014 and 25 candidates were shortlisted 36 So, 36 *25= 900 then 70000-900= 69,100. My fellow NL, are you telling me that 69,100 were not qualify?
Ladies and gentlemen, let's pray that the (Oga at the top) God should link us to the ogas that will help us cos the chances of merit in military recruitment is narrow. I pray all of us here on NL will be make the final list. Je vous embrasse et que Dieu nous aide..Bonne chance

Is this what you know or you are also assuming? cos i am assuming that I can use my secondary school to attestate for me. I school in the North and that side is a no go area for me now

A snapshot of a chat with the army support team to clarify two disturbing questions. Now it is what I know and am no longer assuming. Goodluck!

Go with a request letter addressed to the hod, stating yur matric. no., year of graduation and purpose of the letter, to the dept. yu graduated from... after perusing yur file to ascertain yur studentship/character, yu should be given the letter #MyTwoCents
P.S: Yu may be required to pay a processing fee- perhaps #500 or yu may not.
