The real story is that Fela was on Decca label owned by Abiola. There was an argument over record sales and royalties, so Fela and his 27 queens and all his band boys headed for Decca records and illegally occupied the place for days until they were ejected by the police. Fela then hired some night soilsmen called agbepoo to go and dump buckets of poo poo(shit) in front of Abiolas house over night such that the occupants could not exit the house in the morning.
Seun should get his facts right please.

I have said it that there is no Hero in Nigeria, and no politician is fighting for the Masses, I have close to 60 fela songs, and if you listen to them you know that this so-called Hero's are thieves.

I have watched a documentary where fela talked about this very incidence, it was clear that Abiola connived with the military to kill fela.

Abiola is a very good friend of the military big boys, and they pack the money together.

Some people are asking how can Caveatemptor know more about what happened than Seun. They don't realise that some people here were alive when these things happened and witnessed them. The "shit incident" happened in 1978 or '79, while the "murder incident" happened in 1993. Seun was born in 1983. What does he know about something that happened in '79?

Imagine if Babangida's daughter (that was born in 1989) says that her father became president in 1987. We that witnessed the coup will (of course) know that she's not saying the truth, because we all know that her father became president on August 27, 1985.

A funny guy here actually said that Abiola was never chairman of Decca!

Anyway, we'll read Fela's own account of the shit incident and what led to the ITT song.

Read Seun's post again, you and caveatemptor are the ones mixing up dates. Seun did not refer to the ' murder case' in 1993, remember by then Simbiat was already late so she couldn't have reported the case in the first place. Seun posted about 'armed robbery' and not murder, which obviously took place before the 1993 murder case. Fela has been in and out of detention for several orchestrated offences.

Seun's information about HIS FATHER is far more reliable than yours, think about his source of info for a moment before your next comment.

Oh boy! Rebel INS. I also played his no said date album today. In fact it was a wu day for me. Uncontrolled substance is definitely one of the most underrated wu albums. They don't make cats like that no more. Wu--tang is a movement. Mad styles and skills. The abbot has really tried for the group.

Yeah. You are correct. My bad, my mix up. INS's album is 'Resident Patient'. Like I said earlier it was a wu day for me that day. I slammed a lot;' wu--collectives, killarmy, killa bees et al. I'm not so updated these days, what's going on with the gambinos? Any new works you got? That last wu album that was dropped and only one copy made and sold to some rich dude, any leaks on that? You gotta marvel at RZA's strategy.

nothing yet on that last album o though I didn't really try to look for anything since I was disappointed with that one copy strategy. Still trying to complete my Czarface albums though you obviously have a larger library than me

I just have a manageable hip hop library, trying not to get stuck in the past but nowadays hip hoppers are making it easy for me. Same flows/lyrics/styles. Its all about their freestyle game now, little content and wit, absence of character.
