Hello peeps, I have a 200ah battery and a 1.2kva inverter, I normally use Nepa to charge it, but now a days Nepa is bad. I would like to get a solar configuration to help me charge it,

morning. i dont understand what you mean by solar configuration but i assume you mean you will like to get a solar inverter inculcated into the system.
If so is the case, get an additional battery so you will enjoy the system well.
You will require the following
1. (4) 200w/12v solar panel
2. (1) 200ah/12v battery
3. charge controller
4. ceiling mount ( you may use clips, ties & nails if you have a steep roof)
5. s6mm cable roll
6. nails, clips
7. service fee.

Sorry to disappoint you but adding a new battery to the existing old one is not ideal but recipe for disaster, you will end up killing the new battery. So to enjoy your solar panels it's best if you acquire 2 set of battery afresh.

No doubt sure.

I ll advise 2 option:

1. Sell the existing battery to finance 2 new battery bank.

2. At least get a battery balancer to ensure both battery are charged equally. although more money being spent but well worth it I suppose.

You can get a 12v 200watt panel @ 54k and a 100watts 12v @27k. (NB: you need a minimum of 300watts panels to charge your 200amps/12v battery efficiently), a 20amp 12/24v (pwm) charge controller @16k and workmanship depends on how high your roof is. You will be charged between 20 to 30k.

How did you arrive at 800 watts in panels without knowing what he intends to power and for how long? Blows my mind each time I see stuff like this.

i think the Op had another thread where he stated minor home appliances cant recall but that aside my suggestion was based on general/common domestic appliances.
Further Inquiries would av given me a better insight, other NLders who hace consulted me at a point or the other will testify that i enquire in depth details.

I stand to be corrected though, like i do tell my technicians. "We learn in the job & we never stop learning"
