Do you really have to start afresh and write JAMB again? I thought there was a process you go through to get your originals replaced? Please find out about replacing them first don't let sadness lead you to making a bad decision.

Go to police station and report the issue to them officially. they will give a report covering that like a statement. then go to court for affidavit. with that you are cover. My uncle also lost his original credentials when he had an accident. That was what he did. No need to take jamb and start afresh.

I traveled all the way from Abuja to Gombe for the ongoing police recruitment screening but came back empty handed as my bag that contains my original credentials such as my NYSC discharge certificate, Degree result, and all my vital credentials got stolen at the screening ground. Also contained in the bag is my Gionee original charger, battery, cloth etc. In fact I had to come back on my plains.

Initially, I kept my bag in a hidden place under a table but one police woman corporal came there and threw all the bags way from the table that the table belongs to mai shayi (I wonder what concerns her ). By then we already queued up ready to enter the screening ground. We had to keep our bags beside the building.

After I finished the screening, I came outside to pick my bag and begin my trip but couldn't find the bag. I complained to them but no any solution. In fact one of them said they nothing concerns them with our bags what we are on our own.

There was no any other option for me than to leave devastated. I later told my sister who is still there to do a police report but the police told her that they can't do it without my presence (obviously they wanted her to pay bribe before they could do it.). When she informed me I told her to leave them.

That is how I lost my original credentials.

I think I might just get myself registered for another JAMB and start from afresh.

But why carry your original credentials or is it part of the requirements?
Re: I Went For Police Screening But They Stole My Original Credentials by Atk1nson(m): 10:10am On Jun 18, 2016

I am very sure that you will find your credentials by the grace of God. If you have your phone number on any of the lost documents, you can be contacted.
Yeah. That's how I saw someone's document. If not for the phone number, that document wouldn't have being retrieved

It's actually advisable to carry originals because employers often request to sight it, its an unstated requirement at most interviews/screening. You don't want to be the one who gets disqualified for not bringing originals

Lost certificates cannot be reprinted. That would be two certificates in circulation.

Ehe now. That is part of the test, the requirements. That your stuff vanished is called 'worked examples'. That you walked away is called 'multiple choice'. That you made the wrong choice is called failure. But really you should have waited behind, investigated, uncovered the crime and apprehended the culprit. I bet you, that will be automatic pass mark. What were you thinking.

Then op should have been careful about it. The solution is apply for another but the procedure is cumbersome

Yes o.... I don't believe his story as well! All applicants who went for police screening where all required to enter the screening venue with photocopies of their educational documents as well as their Original for onward verification. So I ask you, why was yours outside?

More so, considering the fact that the whole North East is peculiar to constant terror attacks, common sense should have told you to go to the screening venue with just a leather jacket to house both your original and photocopies as well. Am sorry to say that indeed you were very careless. Don't blame any police officer who were doing their best to prevent any syndicate from smuggling in improvised explosive devices into the venue.

However, I pray you recover what you lost..Good Luck!!!

U will get dem back by God grace

But wait o... Op u said ''after the screening u came back and ur bag which contains ur original credentials was no where to be found''
Which credentials do u used for the screening then? Because the said screening was done with only credentials. Photocopies are not accepted. At that moment I don't think your originals should be in your bag again because the screening was done with originals.

please get the police report quickly, dats all u need now

Thank you for coming up with this truth.

No educated mind needs this advice except those who were only schooled.

Last year I did a Police report and an affidavit for four (4) documents at a go, and it only cost me #2,000 at the Area F Ikeja Police station.

Now compare the amount for a Police report to that of going back to school to start afresh as the OP has concluded, "the answer you get na im dey make fools to dey live in fools' paradise." In Sound Sultan's Jagbanjastic.

Hey just reading the previous posts,
all documents can be retrieved from ur sku
you just have to spend some raw cash.
because I knw someone who lost his HND. he had to swear an affidavit and pass through some rigorous processes but the end result was that he was issued another one.
though I stand to be corrected.
best of luck dear

There is selfishness in that man's blood.

Already he knows the easiest way to get a replacement...Police report and Affidavit, but he foolishly turned away from it because he didn't want to pay bribe.

Something that won't cost him more than #3,000.

If he is in doubt, I might give him a phone contact so he may inquiry by himself.
