With release of the c9, all c8 users shud just forget abt any updates. Despite all the updates, c8 users are still complaining of poor multitasking n ba3 drain. check c8 thread... u go leaf tire.

that's techno for u . they come up with a new phone, hype it... then forget abt it in 3months grin...to start promoting another new device.

but look at it from this angle tecno bringing quality at affordable rates...wetin i come dey find again nau.....

I m not disputing that fact bro. my point is..despite d updates, c8 still remains unstable. check d threads... the multitasking issue still persists. some are even looking for ways to downgrade and remove installed updates.

as for me this phone doesn't worth the noise. Tecno seems to have gotten to that stage where they only sell their name to the public instead of real product .
to worsen the situation, 3000mAh that is bad.

it's not only about mmah or 2g ram.. those companies sell quality hardware and they optimize their processors and ram.. why do i need an octa core mediatek when i can buy a quad core snapdragon that's optimized for the phone am buying? or double quad core like the Samsung s4? am vey sure s4 is better and durable than this camon whatever. ..

they know that all ppl care about nowadays are; the camera size, android version, number of cores and other useless details. .

I'd rather buy a uk used Samsung or sony for that amount or even an iPhone. ...

Seriously, Samsung no dey try sometimes. See the j7 phone for 70k plus is just 1.5gb. I cannot use any phone not up to 2gb ram. This Samsung 1gb I'm using hangs like crazy!

So sometimes or most times, spec matters first. Not a big fan of camera though but that RAM and battery are more important to me.

When it comes to phones, i don't joke with battery life, storage, RAM and Camera. Let me list all the tecno products i have used since my NYSC and how long i used them

Tecno L3- used it 9 months as a corper, sold it due to poor camera

Tecno P9 tablet- bought and used it towards the end of my service year. Sold it because i wanted to upgrade to the G9

Tecno G9 tablet old version- used it for 1 year and some months, played fifa, blogged with it, outstanding good battery life, everything was complete. I regret selling this tablet till date

Tecno L6- Used it 7 months. At first, it was superb then as time went by, the phone started misbehaving. Dashed my father after repairing it

Tecno Winpad tablet: since i am a blogger and journalist , i thought it wise to get a winpad to ease my work as my L6 was small to do the necessary work. I hate this tablet with passion. Nonsense camera, overheating, no free ms office, in fact, its a write-off. Used for three months and sold ot ASAP.

Tecno G9 tablet new version: Still using it for the past three weeks. I had to go round ikeja to get it and bought it N37k. Wolahi, tecno fall my hand for this new G9. First week of use, tablet caught virus because i slept off leaving my Wi-Fi connected. Went to okpebi and a tecno staff confided in me that all new products are facing similar problems. She adviced i switch off WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use. I can't unlock fifa 14 on this new version of G9. I really regret selling the old one. This one battery doesn't last as long as the old one and its heavier. Still with me though.

So for those shouting kudos to tecno for producing camon c9, i laugh in chinese as you will be a customer at okpebi very soon. It will have one fault or the other. Also note that the Camera and flash will wear out too on the long run. I am not trying to discredit Tecno as I have reviewed almost all their products on my blogs but the truth must be said.

It was the engineer at my work place who owned a gionee marathon mini that prescribed Gionee to me and since i bought the Marathon M5 i have not regretted using it (but i cant still unlock the fifa 2014). Either ways, its still people's choice to make as for me, if i sell my tecno G9, i will get a Samsung tablet and end the tecno's curse in my life.

Coming thru, Who dem epp? Tecno don baff?

compare ur sammy to a tecno of the same specs and see the difference. .
try clearing ur cached data and free up ur internal memory a lil bit...

why are you all shouting 3000mah. Fine the specs may not be good but leave dat bat3 alone. Thats standard bat3. I used a note 3. It has 3200mah. An s4 has 2600mah. Even note 4 has 3000mah. The only phone with a huge bat3 now Is gionee m5 marathon which has 6020mah. Which am currently using. Even the lg g4 i am thinking of using has 3000mah. Please you guys should bash the other specs but leave the bat3 alone. Its standard. And its a li-po, which lasts longer than li-lon

This canon c9 I laugh at people that would buy it that's how canon c8 was hyped also after using it for highest 2months changes will occur that neat camera would change to a poor one unlike how it was when you bought it even the battery etc. Me have stopped buying techno phones after my experience with camon c8

The things that differentiate it from my Tecno W4 is 13mp front and back camera mine is 8MP and 2MP, battery capacity 3000 mine is 2500, 2Gig ram mine is 1Gig, and the eye scanner but in my opinion it's too expensive

There's something not right about this specs. I doubt MTK 6582 can be clocked at 1.7

People are really blind.

So Tecno used 2013 chipset in 2016 and 10.35mm in a phone with 3000mAh WTF. This phone is just over bulky.

The MTK6582 is based on 28nm quad-core ARM Cortex A7 architecture and usually clocked at 1.3Ghz.

Full spec of this chipset http://www.mediatek.com/en/products/mobile-communications/smartphone1/mt6582/

Things I noticed;

Camera is 8MP interpolated to 13MP.
Chipset can only clock maximum of 1.3Ghz
This is a quad core device (4 cores)
This phone uses old chipset
This chipset doesn't support 4G
This is 32 bit


Tecno wanna rip off gullible Nigerians as usual.
