Birth story

June 4th and 7th was my Edd according to scan and lmp. I started getting worried when nothing seem to be happening. Went for antenatal on 9th, after normal examination by my doctor, was sent for scan and everything was certified ok.
Started feasting on pineapple and taking my walk inorder to induce labor naturally. Woke up on wednesday morning been 15th of june, saw my mucus plug and started feeling pains on my back and lower abdomen that are irregular. Decided to wait till thursday since its my antenatal . Went to work on thursday, around 3pm the pains became unbearable,called my hubby and told him I can't wait till evening for antenatal that am off to hospital. Got to hospital, told doctor I saw show the previous day, after Virginal examination he said madam, you are in labor and 2cm already. I was asked to call hubby to bring baby things. Around 5am on friday, I was review again and was 6cm but contraction wasn't strong. By then, I couldn't control my bladder again, started peeing on myself , jumping out of bed at the pain of each contraction. Doctor came to review me at 11:15am but I refused cos the pains is out of this world. I no gree open leg o. It took 3 nurses to forcefully open my legs and hold me down for doc to check. After checking, he said am 7cm but not progressing and order the nurse to augument it with buscopan injection and hot drip. Immediately the pain triple, na so I start to shout mama o, jesus o, I want cs, cos I can't bear d pains anymore. Started vomiting and having the urge to poo, told one of the nurse and she checked me and shouted that am in phase two already, took me to d delivery room, before doctor go run enter d delivery room I don dey push and at the 5th count, my Olamide Oluwanifemi Deborah Orevaoghene came out by 12:23pm weighing 3.3kg with a tear but when I saw her, no amount of pains could take away the joy of motherhood. She was placed on my chest immediately and all I keep shouting was Halleluyah it has ended in praise.

I wish all other pushing mamas safe and swift delivery and that God will through His infinate mercy make our ttc sisters mother of many children IJN! Amen.

Have you tried eating unripe pineapples, dates(locally called dabino), climbing stairs, playing ball in the compound?

I have tried pineapple but not unripe sha, I also climb stairs but with d leg swelling tin jst like walkn I hv to slow down. Wld try get d unripe pineappl nd dabino, tanx so much!

Hmmm, I asked a question on this forum two days ago and u mama jump and pass, well all is well. All of us we get to our destination safely in Jesus name.
So I went to clinic yesterday and laid many of my issue to doctor from headache, catarrh, can't put any food or water down without vomitting, leg pain, stomach pain. Hmmm
Na so my doc gave me this plenty drugs

Hian!!! Only me... I wan cry. Mothers please what style do u use to take this plenty drugs? Na beg I dey beg don't read and pass this time around

I use swallow to take my drugs when they are too much and I can't stomach them...

A friend of mine who uses one of the general hospitals in lagos, said her doctor recommended CESTRA PRE-NATALS instead of pregnacare. she is a bit concerned since everyone she knows uses pregnacare, n I couldn't give her an answer cos I don't really know it.

Please any mamas in the house who uses CESTRA?

That's the spirit dear. There are so many women praying to spit like you as long as they can have a baby. Dont let anything make you feel ashamed of yourself. I started spitting from 7weeks or so. I'm 36weeks and still spitting. I also have that annoying mucous that comes to my throat. I always keep disposable cup beside my bed for the spit. But ive learnt to deal with it. Who i wan complain give? Its not easy to grow a human in your body for 9 months.
So if the spitting like, make e continue till i deliver, na im sabi.

The first scan i did at 9 weeks said my Edd is 11th, another one said 6th, and one even said 24th, but am going with the first two, because I will enter 37 weeks tomorrow... Maybe yours is late July.. No port ooo according to Mitchy..

Imoge2 spitting might just be ur own pregnancy symptoms. Tryout my first preg I was spitting till naming day,now dis 2nd preg I started spitting with d mucus tin since 6weeks and still on till now.pls embrace it dear is just for a while.

Ma'am lillylurv,I intend to register at the state general hospital this Monday because it s just like 15 minutes drive to my house unlike UITH that may take an hour to get there. Pls can you brief on the process of registering, thanks much.Happy Sunday.

the thing is, please get there as early as 7am on monday and go with at least 3k.

You will have to register at the reception close to the gate with 200 or 250 at most, after the registration, just ask for the ante-natal ward, proceed there and wait. One fair middle aged woman may give you ppl number or so. Just take note of the people yu met on seat, your files will be brought there by the staff...and the moment the midwives/doc. are around, you will be attended to but they will ask you to pay #100 and will ask you to go for test at their lab, costs 2100. Thats all.....

@mumtwins if you were given a cut, it ought to be stitched. However you can try the act, with your hubby. If you notice anything major difference you go back to the hospital. March is quite a long time.
