sputos:So sorry that you were denied this way. The VO just believe you gonna come back home and wanted to prove it with your words but you succumbed. How will you return to the same job when the salary is not that high? How would you return if the company is not increasing your pay? Of course there wouldn't be any motivation to do so. Meaning you're not gonna return to the same company you work. Now re-apply and study previous success transcripts ![]() You see, it's by words and body language now, not documents for they are also tired of requesting for them. Just like a girl will ask a guy convince me that you love me. He does so by sweet-talking and using body-language. Hope you got my drifts? Better luck next time! You will surely get it. |

texrem: It is easier to keep quiet and ignore the stuffs going on this thread but it is really getting to me, posting stunted transcripts (that ultimately nobody learns from) , putting a date on posting transcript hoping everyone will just forget and move on is the new mainstream stuff on this thread and as someone who spent years observing this thread and a few more learning from this thread it is a sad, sad development. I do not need their transcript I already scaled through but what about Spring / Fall '17 peeps and beyond, KimoraW got into Emory (Tuale) with 311 and a solid GPA and all, I will never have thoug that possible that is what transcript and information does for you, slimmy2005 once posted funding was relatively easier to come by at his school and a lot of people are at or choosing ETSU because of him What I find most disheartening is the fear some certain characters are engendering on this thread, if a little embellishment or posting your transcript led to cancellations of Visa, thousands of Visa would have been cancelled on this thread, we would also have been cautioned by the VO's that frequent this thread A candle loses nothing by lighting another and a thousand reasons can always be made up while it is unwise for one to post his transcript, worse one might even believe that reason to be true... Slimmy is leaving school soon, imperiouxx has left so have Ms Nas certain parts of their information might be dated they can only offer sage advice meaning it now falls on us to mentor the next generation of applicants but with certain characters that now populate this thread that will most certainly delete their accounts once they step on US soil, we have our works cut out for us... This is my last rejoinder on this issue... 8 Likes |

gunther6: My cousin was recently looking for a roommate to share an apartment and it was based on someone transcript posted 2 weeks ago that i linked both of them up . They might not end up sharing a flat but u never know the network that is built from here ....When the new student gets to the school , at least he has my cousin to link up with and show him some steps . Also I know several previous Emory MPH naija students and who ended up matching for residency after MPH . That network base is something Anybody can tap into if they want by Holler Does anyone know such and such in Emory or In any school. ...... The power of using your Networks is key .....A lot of jobs is about networking and you only know whats out there by sharing , go see how the Indian they help each other enter places. I am done with this topic . My f1 Journey was years ago as undergrad and masters. I only viewed this thread this year for a cousin . Where i am today has partly due to networks. 5 Likes 1 Share |

lionlee216:Which of the UBs?.. Baltimore or Boston?.. Is the course you're going for related to Agric-Eng, just as your undergraduate? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Nobody: 10:47am On Jun 20, 2016 |
DareFadi:Networking is good. Once you network with the right people you sure won't regret it. I've been networking even before I came here and that made life pretty easy for me. A lot of people are calling me all sorts of names for not making money out of this information. They introduced a guy to me to help him with admission and visa, when he messaged me, I sent him Nairaland. I careless if people like me or not. Love me or loathe me, it doesn't change anything about me. 6 Likes 1 Share |

gunther6:Huh?.. Just like that?. Without adequate preparation?. Wouldn't it be so very unconcealed infront of the VO that he registered after been denied OR just for embassy sake.. The best is to defer, register for the GRE and he should shoot for spring.. 1 Like |

profojah2: Of course the VO would know, a few persons on this thread got their Visas after admitting to the VO they wrote their GRE/TOEFL not because it was required by the school but for embassy purposes... Not everyone has the luxury of time and at this point in the history of Nigeria , 3/4 months means a lot and could potentially save you millions... |

If you come to this thread... gain and ask questions...after ur visa interview, feel proud n don't wanna share so others will learn, that will be STUPID. However, if you have a genuine reason to delay in sharing your experience, hey! YOU OWE NO ONE!!..... It's also not smart to be the "attack person". You contribute without expecting bk... its a free world. Forcing other ppl to agree with your opinion wldnt get u anywhr..... Also, been selfish and always demanding without giving bk wldnt get u anywhr.... Great thread, nice guys.... we r all networking, u selfishness n utterances wld keep ppl aware from u.... |

dprinz99: Caltech is very competitive to enter but if you do enter then you cant go wrong ...... As long as you face the right channel when you are in Caltech such as oncampus recruiting and things like NSBE Germany is not bad in engineering (although integrating culturally is a different topic) but the JOb market you have to be sound and know your onions to get a good job because u will be competing with lots of people who know their A and B . Also If Germany from Day one put a lot of effort in learning the Local Language (would be key when looking for full time job) |

@ Deetus, Oluphy, Gunther6, Darefadi, Texrem and above all CALFAVOUR. I really appreciate your feedback on my transcript I can deduce three things wrong in my transcript now 1. Self sponsor gives a red flag 2. Not linking my study plans with my present employment 3. Not able to list out reasonable number of courses I will be doing I have noted all these. As for confidence, I was so confident. Looked at her eyes all thru and my voice was loud. But this people no dey try. I am an orphan who was opportuned have properties inherited from my parents. I also earn 210600/month (net pay). I have a flat I get rent from and 1 plot of land. Also had deed of agreement of a land I sold 2014 for 3million. I tut I was fit to sponsor myself having 7million in my acct and school fees being 4800 dollars per semester .....Never knew I needed to say all these without being asked - My bad. Guess I will add my brother to be supporting sponsor. He can provide a statement worth 20Million Linking travel plans to work. I no try at all. I have travelled to the UK b4 and spent just 3weeks - last year May . I tut that would prove that I will come back...I f-up. To add to it, I am married with a kid which in DS-160 (Although there is no space provided in DS-160 to fill if u have a kid except u travelling with the kid) The courses I will be doing. Kai! Oyinbo don craze. When I gain admission for undergraduate study for Lasu, did I know any course I will be doing? Na wa oh. Na to just dey mention courses wey I do for 400level for next interview if I no remember. Lol Please more responses cos I am already preparing for the next interview. Aja 2, gbera....As I dey drive dey come house sef, I almost bash 2 different times. God help us all. Abeg if I am applying again, will I fill a fresh DS-160 3 Likes |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by DareFadi(f): 11:41am On Jun 20, 2016 |
sputos: The thing with interviews is that it can be so random ... You can walk in tomorrow and speak with the same person but get entirely different questions. Also another VO would have been fine with self sponsor , not in all cases is it a red flag (although might not be an issue but i never recommend it , that just me) ...... Nigeria is hard economically so without your inheritance how u won take self sponsor and the interview is too short that no VO going ask you about your life history of acquisitions. ....Anyway good you learnt from it and will correct that .......moving right along Go through pass transcript and this time take time to build in dept answers , write like 20 questions frequently asked . Especially if you are doing MBA , MBA usually is competitive in the Job market so they would expect indept answers .. Your main problem i think was you might have had confident but didnt sell yourself well . |

Looking forward to meeting you too! I no dey fly with them but people i know that did didnt complain. Its just an option for one who has a budget. Cuz i dont think its cool for someone to spend 220k+ with 3-4 stopovers bearing in mind all the landing boarding immigration checks and stress involved. So just routing an itinerary to jfk then book a seperate connecting flight also works and it will fall under 200k. No sweat gunther6: |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by DareFadi(f): 12:02pm On Jun 20, 2016 |
Jaypoundsgmail: Yes you can PM ...... I agree be on the safe side , especially since you state you have funding for the first year . You actually need to show funds for the whole program length and extra not just first year if you want to go down self sponsor because VO fit ask so what will happen after first year.. Also i think even to release your i20 normally you should show funding for more than just one year 1 Like |

@bukunmy congratulations! It was always nice seeing your prayers on every positive transcript posted. @lionlee216 it does seem the nerves of interview got to you. You answers werent top notch but not to worry, you can always refire. I'm guessing your program didnt need GRE? Best if you are asked, reply in affirmative that it wasnt required but you plan to write -(only say this if you decide to pay for GRE(book a datae for august), then have a printout incase you are asked/u wanna show it) just replying that u wrote IELTS didn't answer the question at all, that was abit desperate. And its not also possible for u to write in july- thats anotjer desperate move. And also work on your answers on why the school/course? Agricultural engineering (if ur Ms is something related) is indeed lacking in Nigeria. I think engineering infrastructure to protect crops and livestock is lacking. A good example is the tomato ebola. You can always explain how agrc.engeering ir whatever course will implement growth and aid production in Nigeria and how your sch will train you to pursue that goal you have. Check the professors in yr dept, topics etc, you will get a foothold of something and pls use good grammar, that also helps. @sputos- judging from your post, since you are married I do not think having a sponsor is necessary. Your bank balance looks good enough, i guess you need to just work on your answers. You should have hit the nail on the hand when you were asked what u intend to do when U return. After spending do much and time, its only realistic to be progressive even if its working at ur company but higher up the ladder not ur current position. Check past MBA transcript and you will do just fine. |
