Hello everyone,
No going to d hospital no matter how strong d contraction is except if my water breaks early, or if I'm 5mins apart, reason is I feel dat wen dey start inserting hand every hour it causes more pain.
No doctor is going to keep me on d bed, wen it's time to push I pray baba God give me d strength to be on my feet, gravity can help.
My MIL, mum and husband are just making jest of me saying wen labour comes I won't even remember all these. Last week dey forced me to one iya alagbo (traditional) house, dat one was just pressing my stomach anyhow, if u see how I vex for dem saying d mama want to dent my baby's head.
Mama zayn I go register ooo, just cool ur mind.

Na for sitting room, bedroom or bathroom you go stay do this one? I like this babe ooo.

St Kisito jakande estate first gate. They are very good! I used them for my anc but they don't deliver ftm, you will choose a hospital of your choice among their listed hospitals and they will refer you there at 36-37 weeks.

The last ANC, the midwives were saying so many mamas don't know how to push but they didn't show us how to. Is there a particular way we are suppose to push?

I think she means maternity homes, where some Iyas handle deliveries locally. They are not registered hospitals. Its majorly for deliveries

@Sugarcanbaby, yes pregnacaremax has it all. Though I took extra dose of folic acid and calcium cos I was caring double. My doctor advised I do. These two drugs makes babies strong, as in my babies are stronggggg. If they are crying we usually become careful cos them go just dey kick any how.

@Mumtwins, the Lord is our strength oo. My grand ma doent like extracting bm for babies. Old school mama, lol. When babies sneez, yawn, or even wink she will say it's cos of the extracted bm. She will even say I should go and warm the bm immediately after extracting. Always having to say a thing concerning it. Me I don't want to have issues as regards that so I stopped extracting. Now I sit to breas.t feed for long time. So tiring.

Another thing I notice is extracting makes breas.t slack. Pls mamas is this true? Mine own opinion though.

I would like to share this. I use ori (sheer butter) for my kids (use as their cream and rub in their butt before I wear dem diaper), you need to see their skin, smooth, no rash of any kind, even their pead and nurse ask me to continue with my regimen for them. I recommend ori for mothers for their kids.

Like you, I also didn't know how to push and suffered tear in my first pregnancy.

To push, hold both ankles firmly, lift your neck /head up to look at your navel, then push like you want to let out hard poo.

Other mums can contribute too.

2 of my friends (both FTM) had their babies without tear. Also, their labour was very short and without much pain(they both testified to it.)
One of them even recommended a book that she read which she believes helped her; Supernatural childbirth. I got it and have started reading it. To be honest I am not so scared of labour.
My mum had 7 children, and she keeps on saying its not as bad as we hear.
Me i believe them, and am now looking forward to seeing my princess.
So please o, be positive and hopeful.

We are happy for the news. I pray for one like this too...last scan at 27weeks, baby was breeeched too...hoping he turns before next scan at 35weeks or so. We share same EDD ooo 11th August. ..all my scans so far are the same date.

My able captain, my kpekusing mate lolll, he 'll surely turn even b4 35weeks by God's grace. All my scans are 11th too, it was baby centre that gave me 16th n the hospital 17th.

I was so bothered , thinking of So many things even death lolllll no b my fault jare na Google put plenty fear for my mind, again whenever it's bn discussed here one mama will always say anterior placenta is not d issue except d low-lying meanwhile mine was low-lying hmmmm, it wasn't easy but all thanks to God for calming my mind on time n to mama's here for sharing their testimony n words of encouragement.

yes, majorly for delivery but not all of them are unregistered. I used a maternity home; it's registered and the midwife there is a qualified, very experienced matron in National hospital. I registered at a private hospital initially before registering at d maternity home at 24wks n I thank God I did. The nurses at d hospital were so careless (e.g giving u a container wt another patient's name already on it to pee in for urine test, even though I had to be d one reminding them that they've nt done any urine test for me; n ds Ws like on my 3rd appointment o, d blood test results nko? It Ws in my presence there d doctor Ws copying it out of his Nokia torchlight fone) n d doctor wld be giving flimsy excuses for their carelessness when u complain to him. If I start to list all my complaints to them here, I wee nor finish today. Thank God I Ws a "professional mommy" like ma'am zaynie n read everything readable on pregnancy n childbirth like I wan write professional exam n wld ask questions abt everything so tey d doctor go say "Nawah o, na everything u sabi" lol when I stopped going there for ANC, up till today dem no call once to check say hw far o, hw u dey, ur pikin never reach to born (wen pikin sef don reach 8 months) Lol n they knew me very well cos I Ws d only ANC patient wearing hijab there dat time coupled wt my curious nature wt them. In all, we shld jst always make informed decisions, open eyes wella, ask questions whenever necessary n above all, PRAY for God's favor n mercy

Do they make custard in pan and with turning stick? Its starch, our local food in delta. We use it to eat banga soup, owho soup, owho beans and peppersoup. Its delicious and my favourite swallow.

Good afternoon ma'ams,
As FTM or subsequent timers, its better to follow d drs n nurses instructions.
During my labour, d nurse asked me to stop pushing by opening my mouth. I asked why cuz d pressure to push was intense, she said d baby was going to give me a rough tear meanwhile she aided d vjay opening by using a gloved hand. She gave a tear which was better cuz my baby came out after d tear.
Don't be scared, labour is painful but its worth it.
Pray for a painless and supernatural delivery. U will be amazed at how short ur labour is.
