Thanks mumsgirl27, I now guess it's teething as you said, he had his first set of teeth last month and the upper sets are on the way now I just succeeded in feeding him with carrot puree mixed with plain yoghurt and I just got custard and oats I pray he will accept that. Thanks for your advise.

When I had my boy,he weighed 4.2kg and I was given bilateral episiotomy which broke down after 5days cos of lack of care(he was on admission and I was with him,couldnt do sitz bath in the hosp I was. Reported @ d gynae and was checked but told to intensify sitz bath(warm water,salt and savlon) about 3-4time daily
The doctor said there's possibility of it breaking down again if restitched because of the gagged edges with the stitches out
That's my experience tho

Mrs Heavy g, take it easy , you are treading on familiar waters. Had a 3rd degree tear ... just keep the location as clean as possible, you may use a spray bottle every time you take a pee to rinse out urine or use baby wipes , if you can get witch hazel spray,liquid or wipes just place In fridge and use as directed on the label or else just keep your sitz bath routine as regular as possible.

@Mzfunshy, sister Pele, a number of my friends experienced the hand issue you are faced with now, they had to wear arm support type stuff and bandage like support, while taking drugs recommended for them. I know one of them still experiences it so she takes boots VitD &K supplement.will get more info for you. No give your child biscuit o wait six months would be better but my own I no give em till 12months, I used to buy Gerber puffs, dried yogurts and fruits.

It seems I was carried away with baby and forgot myself. I was playing around with hubby and we dry humped. I started feeling pains unDer there. Now I took a good look which I haven't since like 5 weeks now and it's like my perineum is opened/healed open. And I got stitches when I delivered o. What happened? I don't know what to do. I'm really scared and angry. I feel a great anger and unforgiveness towards the hospital I had my baby. She was so small. Why all these complications? When women like me have bigger babies without issues. From pile to this. My 2weeks postpartum visit, they never checked it to know if it was healing correctly. Now it is open and I can even see clotted blood there.

Can my vagina ever be normal again? This is 8weeks pp ooo.

I am so locking up if God can save me this time

yes it can be normal again.I had similar exp and had to go back to d Hosp wen ds was 2 months. the place was stitched again. one year later I got pregg again and had another tear BT d kids are 4 & 2 respectively now and I look back and glorify God

My question is this: what is all this quest amongst parents for CHUBBY babies..... ( bearing in mind that Chubby is just a very polite word for fat or boarderline obese, and very very chubby = very very fat).
Chubby does not always necesarily equal healthy.

Plus, hand and back no dey pain una to dey carry big pikin?

As long as your baby is healthy, feeding well putting on weight ok, in the normal weight range for his or her age and developing alright both physically and mentally, Biko what more do you need?

We parents should be careful not to start overfeeding babies or giving unhealthy food all because we want them to be "Chubbier". What If the baby is naturally slim?!

Not every fat is baby fat that will be lost as the child grows. Childhood Obesity is a real problem. Lets not start what we can't finish. We will then start making excuses later on that the child has always been fat or is "big-boned" when the chubbyness come and permanent. Meanwhile it is the parents that have been overfeeding from babyhood!

in addition, if your baby is on solids, try mashed boiled sweet potatoes (or irish potatoes) with mixed vegetables (sweet corn, brocholli, green peas, carrots with a little dash of pure sunflower oil). he will be very fine, fresh and look very well fed.

you can also try aptamil range of cereals.

GBAM!!!! I rest my case... All stand!!! Most of our doctors n nurses will tell us some stuffs during immunization but pratise d opposite in their various homes. I caught a nurse giving her new born Eva water 2 drink while she's usually d one dt will scream even d deaf will hear her dt EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING WTHOUT WATER IS THE BEST! I made up my mind dt I must give my baby water to drink while exclusively breastfeeding her. U need 2 see my baby's skin sooo glowing n looking plumpy wen I took her 4 immunization. The matron asked me if she was on formula, I said no dt she's on breast milk n water only. She gave me d thumbs up finger. Imagine u as an adult, u r very thirsty n u get a bottle of coke or ice cream or even drink yoghurt, will it quench ur thirst? Then, som1 will tell me dt my breast milk contains water dt will quench my baby's thirst. I'm nt anti-critical exclusive ooo. I jst want 2 mk common sense( in Ben Bruce voice)

i am totally with you on this ''exclusive breastfeeding without water'' issue. i am an 100% advocate of combination feeding - breastmilk, formula and water.

the ones that amuses me are those that will be screaming ''exclusive'', ''exclusive'' and then you catch them feeding their 3 months old baby ''ogi'' Hian !!

meanwhile on this colic issue. i have a friend that mixes gripe water with her baby's milk and that is the only thing that has worked for her and eased her son's discomfort from colic. personally, i swear by infacol - it worked like a charm for me. i guess to each their own.
