I remember a cnn interview with former Japanese national team football player, Nakata, he was asked what his greatest fear was, and he answered thus " Am afraid that one day, there would be so much unrest in the world that football would be the last thing on people's mind" And those lines actually got me thinking.

All humans have one thing or thought that scares them the most, some fear death, failure, hell, while some dread commitment, success etc. However, personally, the thought of loosing a member of my nuclear family, (because I have never experienced such) scares the hell out of me. I love them so much that i don't want to loose any of them even in a thousand years to come.

Over to you my fellow nairalanders, please share with us your greatest fears.

Growing old and dying

Singing young for ever by jaz z........

Anyways growing old without realising at least most of our age long dreams and aspirations is rather scarier for me.

Even if I achieve my life dreams, the thought of becoming weary as I age is something I find repugnant

In the past, I would've said ignorance but the truth is I'll always be ignorant on certain things. It's a matter of being open minded and receptive to things I come across in life. So I guess that's a work in progress and now just a basic fear. Digging deeper I think I've figured out what truly haunts me.
Sadly, my greatest fear is becoming a reality. My greatest fear is having no empathy or sympathy for others. I guess life's realities are just stirring me beyond just being selfish to totally no giving a flying fart about anyone or anything but what makes me smile from within.
