Gooday everyone, I have just gathered all the documents I need to submit to Uni assist for My Masters Admission and I want to Notarize it but I don't know how it works with this German thing.

Can I notarize the documents using a Notary public in Nigeria here or I have to go the German embassy to do it.

It is Urgent please!, someone who knows this should at least answer
You can do either unless your school is specific on one.

do u HV any certificate in German language? eg Goethe b1 ,b2,etc. if yes u r good to go,but not for this winter semester cos all STK application has closed
u HV to wait for summer 2017.
ifvu don't HV any, then u need one year to reach at least Goethe certificate b1 or six month or above to reach same level in a private class(I got mine within 6month of private lesson and intensive studies + God's grace)
currently teaching German. pm me let's talk more

i got my Goethe cert last yr, and sent them to someone in Germany who had certified them together with other docs and will apply by August. But really is it advisable to leave naija while am in 3rd yr medicine for Germany and start the struggle all over again. and besides am 20

got a mail from uni assist earlier today with respect to some applications tendered to them for pre-checking but I got a funny response. It stated that "my original signature was missing on the form" and as such my application couldn't be forwarded. Anyone ever had this issue or something similar

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by oladunwo(m): 7:37pm On Jun 21, 2016
Dear Mr. Oladunwo,

You have applied for the international MSc programme Environmental Sciences  (elective track Wildlife, Vegetation and Biodiversity) at the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources in Freiburg.

I am very pleased to confirm that the programme committee has chosen your application and would like to welcome you as student of our programme. However, this has only been the first step. The second and last step is the formality check of the international admission service of Freiburg University. They still have to verify if your first degree formally fulfils the requirements for being admitted to a Master programme.

Please confirm bindingly until June 30 if you will accept the study place. As soon as we receive your confirmation (by e-mail), we will send your application documents to the central admission office of Freiburg University, where the official admission letter will be issued and sent to you.

The admission letter will be sent to the address you listed on the online application form under "current address". If your address has changed or will change please inform us. The admission letter will be sent by mid or end of July. To be on the safe side, your address should be valid until August.

The first module will start on October 17th, but there will be two introductory days on October 13th and 14th.  Attached you will find useful information about dates, fees, housing etc. It might help you to make your decision.

Please don´t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or doubts. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Please, how do i go about the next step?

That's cool. So if I have to follow the official process for renewal. Where do I pay to? I don't wanna dash those custom people money and they rarely state how to go about it officiallly publicly.

Google the NIS portal, peruse the site to gather information and follow the instructions

My dear brothers in Deutschland (eke40seven,williamso,schwartz, stevemims, ogagaejay and others), I need your advise. Which city is better in terms of Student mini jobs, cost of living and studies from: Freiburg, Trier, Duisburg-Essen, and Koblenz-Landau?
I need your advise based on your experiences brothers. I'll be glad to hear from you.

Go for Essen. Cheap and affordable. And good connection from Essen to other huge cities like Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Bochum. Go for Essen and u won't regret it.

Eke40seven , pompido, weirdarkhitekt, williamso, schwartz, stevemims, ogagaejay and the rest have done a whole lotta justice with this thread. I just confirmed my admission 4 masters in intl business & mgt. (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences). No Uniassist stress nor sending of docs + Nipost/DHL wahala grin anyways, scanned all and sent, luckily enough was offered a position. Waiting for the hard copy to hit 9ja dis wk. But I have a dilemma. I currently have admissions for Masters in Luxembourg and Canada as well. That of Lux is €200 per session while that of Canada is $3-4k per year. Now, dis German admission is tuition free. Considering
1. the ease of visa processing & higher rate of securing Visa,
2. better integration into the system
3. Standard of education
4. Better welfare after grad as omo Naija grin

Which will the house advice me to follow?

BTW, Econs in Lux, while Rural dev in Canada. All taught in English language.

Advice needed from the ancestors.

Bro, pursue Canada with light, candle and anointing oil smiley Canada is the way forward! Luxembourg run far from that country it's ridiculously expensive.

Do you have admission in all these places? Duisburg -Essen it is for me. Wonderful mobility because they have the best semester ticket in the whole country, a good school and larger area to assess.

Freiburg would have been nice, but it's veeeeerreyyy expensive for students (cost of housing) and as always being in Baden W, the semester ticket is comparatively shitty.

Trier, a remote place on the border, nice school, bad semester ticket and not so long residence extension for international students.

Koblenz Lindau, nice school but based on what you want, DONT!

Nice debate between Schwartz and the rest. However, we need people like her to moderate the overtly high expectations and perception people have about this place.

its all about the value of dream
I left high school 4years back.
got an offer to study same medicine in 2013 in uniben but rejected cos that wasn't my dream.
as a matter of fact,we have a lot of people that have completed their bsc here in Nigeria but are going for fresh bsc in Germany.
but be prepared for tough
aaufnametest and festellungpruung.
anger, medical science are very lucrative in germany. as much as I know, Germany is deficient of medical doctors.u know what that means.
all the best,we can hook up

If u want my honest advice, I will say this is a very wrong move. You want to leave certainty for uncertainty. Do u think you will be able to save 90k monthly if u get here as a student? What 90k will do for u in Nigeria, d euro equivalent will not do it. Plus u still av a danfo giving u upkeep money and u want to throw it all away cus u think Germany is paradise Wia money is easy and job is yanfuyanfu. My guy don't follow that path of leaving ur 90k job selling ur other source of income and still going into debts to come to Germany biko. I don't think its worth it

I m just gonna add my own opinion..we re all correct its a matter of perspective and this is my own perspective.

Stop lookin at the short run...think abt the future...3yrs from now when he graduates and start workin...things he can achieve here in Germany professionally...I dont think anyone can save any tangible money when studyin to be honest cos the educational sys is tough and u will barely ve the time to work more than 15hrs durin sch term

There is more to life than money..pple migrate for several reasons..some for stable life..some for kids to ve quality education..some for adventure ..some to attain professional goals...so it depends on what the young man wants...his long term goals....

Will his present job allow him to grow?
Is it a job or a career?
What is his short term and long term career and personal goals?

It is sad that nigerians often view everythin under the lens of money.....

With the crashin naira...d economic uncertianity in Nigeria there is no better time for a young person to leave than now...like one poster said 90k is abt 250 euros as at today...

2yrs ago the cost of comin to Germany was abt 1.86m naira (8090 euros @230naira to 1 euro total excludin expenses and all that) now that 1.86m naira is 5300 euros 350 naira to 1 euro)

2yrs down the line...havin survived the german educational system...today those persons who came here 2yrs ago can hold their own anywhere in the world and beat their chest and say they re professionals without fear nor favour...and the hiring rate as at today for Msc graduates in Germany is at least ca.3500 euros (minimum start up salary german civil service for msc graduates tv l 13) before tax which after tax for a single person will leave u with 2k euros ..if they save half of that 1k euros as at today is 350k naira or even less...mind you the salary in Nigeria has nt increased over the last 2yrs in tandem with the inflation caused by crashin naira and increase in pump price of petrol

And this is the least if they know their onions...it may take time to get the job but this is the least...you never can tell the man may be the next Bernett Omalu

And pls dont start with he cant get a job in Germany because of German lang barrier......if he is smart enough to get a job in Nigeria as at today i think he will get one here too when he graduates ceteris paribus.

And before you take the leap mr. Man think abt it and follow ur heart and when u do..no regrets...

In all remember these words

You will sacrifice alot to come to this con3 ...when the story will be told it wont be about the sacrifice you made but what you will achieve

All the best.

NB
For the landlord dont sell ur house ...borrow if u can or save up...(personal opinion)
