Hello, I will like to know if anyone here attends memorial university newfound land. I applied to the school for over a month and I have submitted all supporting documents but my application status still reads application complete. How long does it take the school to review my application and make a decision on that. Thanks |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by snoop4dem: 12:14pm On Jun 24, 2016 |
OGIYEN: Nope I did not, all I did was submit concrete evidences that I have been working(Employment letter, ID card, payslip, ceritficates of trainings with my company et all) with my CV. PS: I did not put an introduction letter from my employer as they are not sponsoring me and I dont want them to know until it is approved. 1 Like |

Good day everyone, first and foremost congrats to @snoop4dem, I have some very cunning questions to ask nd I would be glad if everyone can contribute cos I knw some people are also confused about this section. thanks as we all contribute 1. Tuition section: I over payed my first year tuition but it wld b credited for my next payment, my question now is this, should I state the over paid fee or the fee written on my acceptance letter 2. Rooms and board section: on my acceptance letter there is a break down as follow; Rooom nd board $7200 Transportation: $720 Books; $1200 Miscellaneooous: $960 Total: $10,080 My question is this, will I just write d 7,200 stated for rooms nd board above or should I write the total $10,800 3:other section: will this be the addition of my personal saving and the yearly fund of $10,000 as promised by my sponsor or the addition of books, transportation, miscellaneuoos stated above? 4: funds available for my stay section: will it be equal to or greater than the addition of tuition+rooms and board+ other be Funds available for my stay |

Dear gurus in d house. I have tried to go thru the previous threads doh not all but permit me to say that I have gained the basic knowledge on how to go about my visa application. Una do well oo. however, I just created my NL account today and need your kind and sincere advice. I want to assure you that I haven't come to take you guys back on questions that have been asked and thrashed in previous threads. All I ask for is ur kind opinions. I hv a BSC in economics and an MBA from a uni here in naija. Been working with a bank for 10 years until the so called wind of change caused my bank to downsize early this month and I was affected. That was when the canny dream came up. The issue is that of the program to go for right now to avoid VO's delaying my application. My sister suggested that I go for a PGD in global business management at humber college but I find it rather absurd to go for a pgd after an MBA. She also suggested that I discard my MBA and go for another in Canada. I have also realized that most masters programs in business require a GMAT score which I don't have. Please can someone with a heart of Gold offer a kind word of advice here in terms of possible programs related to my field that I can look thru. Please assist. Thank yo |

cannydream: IMO You can do either of these 2 things: 1. Apply for aPGD, PhD and masters to several schools. E.g. Ph.D in school A and masters in School B. If you gain admission into both, you can then decide which 1 you will love to go to; or 2 use the express entry route. APPLY TO SEVERAL SCHOOLS. ADMISSION ISN'T AUTOMATIC. If you get admitted into more than one, you can then choose to use the higher one for your visa application and change if you need to ( I am not sure if this is possible but I think it is) |

cannydream: Hello, Sorry about the job loss. We pray things get better in our country, nigeria. In my opinion, PGC could be hard to convince the V.O considering your level of experience but peeps have gotten same with good Sop. Going for a 2ND MBA is not a bad idea with specialization in your field of interest, say management, financial operations. entrepreneurship option etc. But bear in mind these programs are expensive. Yes, most schools requires GMAT, it will do you good if you can write so you have lots of options to choose from. Also, some schools waives the gmat if you have a strong UG cgpa , a masters and with your years of experience. Please do more research to see the options best for you. I wish you all the best. **check omooba2015 posts, the school doesnt require GMAT but I think wes evaluation. Laurentian university. UNB waives also if you meet the stated requirements on their site. 1 Like |

ziggy3579: 1. State the over paid tuition fees if you have the fee receipts to show evidence. 2. According to CIC room and board is at least CAD 10K since your school decided to break it down for you. Use. CAD 10.8K 3. Other section is just additional money maybe to cover unforeseen circumstance not necessary the addition of your personal saving and the yearly fund of $10,000 as promised by your sponsor or the addition of books, transportation, miscellaneous stated. There is no stipulated amount for this, it depends and varies. 4. funds available for my stay section: it should be equal to the addition of tuition+rooms and board+ other. With a reasonable amount of money left in your account. My opinion. Success. |
