Ijebu and Jebusites sound phonological alike but I do not know if they are the same people.

You have to realise that Assyria, Egypt, the Canaanites and Israel are ancient enemies, but for them to live in the same space for a time, during the time of their devolution their spirit had to be 'killed', in a way their spirits were tuned down so that they may at least coexist.
