Jigawa Govt assures of support to
NYSC.

JIGAWA ASSURES OF SUPPORT TO NYSC
The Jigawa State has assured that it will
continue to support the National Youth
Service Corps to achieve its mandate.
Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji
Abdulkadir Fanini, gave the assurance
when he received the NYSC Director-
General, Brigadier General Suleman
Kazaure, on behalf of the Governor Alhaji
Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
He said most of the key functionaries of
the state government were ex-corps
members and were still proud to be
associated with the Scheme.
The SSG congratulated Kazaure on his
appointment as the NYSC Chief
Executive, and prayed God to grant him
success throughout his tenure.
Earlier, Kazaure had expressed delight at
the cordial relationship between the
Jigawa State Government and the NYSC
Scheme, and called for the sustenance of
the relationship.
He thanked the state government for its
support to the Scheme, especially
through the donation of a utility vehicle
to the state secretariat, provision of a
befitting residential accommodation to
the Coordinator, and installation of ten
split air conditioners in the multi-
purpose hall of the Orientation camp,
amongst many other acts of support.
The Director-General, who said he was in
the state to monitor the on-going
Orientation course for Corps members
deployed to Yobe State at the Orientation
camp in Jigawa State, described the
camp as the best in the country.
