Physiotherapists DIAGNOSE patients o! They are not subordinates to other professions O! They are independent, kinda like dentistry and Optometry.
You can get a degree such as Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT)...from Nigeria. Google how! (You need plenty of hardwork..tho)
My younger brother is a Doctor of Physiotherapy..and am so proud of him! Patients love how he helps them recover quickly.

In Nigeria, What route can a physiotherapist pass through before he becomes a specialist in orthopedics,paediatrics e.t.c because I only know medical $ dental specialist.

I know everyone is probably busy preparing towards their various screening exercises. Well I was reading a textbook and "blood letting" was mentioned. Its not my first time reading about it buh I'm curious

*on what principle did it work? cus I thought it should be the other way round (i.e transfusion).

*also, they believed it could actually cure all ailments/illnesses?... is there any modern medical info that could explain why it worked?

I know of fasciotomy, where the skin to fascia is cut to allow excess blood that has accumulated at the point to flow out, thus reducing bp... saw it in greys, House and a medical documentary sha.

If you are the bus type: It should be around 2k on the average; Car type: 2500 on the average. The above amounts do not include intra-ilorin transport cost. From your bus stop in Ilorin to the school would cost you a max of #200(2h)

Evening. It's not possible. All admission into the university in Nigeria requires that students sit for the UTME. You must score at least 200(some universities accept 180 e.g. OAU) in UTME before your Pre-degree score can be taken into consideration. I hope this helped.

From the little history I have read, most of what those guys did was trial and a lot of experimentation. Even Surgery then was left to barbers and butchers I think, Check out this book, "emperor of all maladies"

Lol. The general believe was almost all diseases are humoral and could be potentially relieved by "letting" away part of the body fluids. Although severe complication did not set in usually as homeostatic mechanisms restore lost components.

In some practice, autoimmune diseases can be temporarily relieved by "letting" away of most of the circulating antibody and immune celld via "letting" away of blood.
Exchange transfusion to treat e.g a child with erythroblastosis fetalis
Removal and replacement of blood to temporarily alleviate sickle cell complications.

sadly, I still haven't figured out how the technique that was used for about 3 millennium (3000 years) could have been used for that long without any proper modern medicine explanation as to how it worked

well, I believe this is time wasting, especially when i got other things to read.... Thanks again guys, would pass more questions here when I get confused
