Most pastors who stand on pulpits to minister on God's word really don't have the understanding of the scriptures . |

I am glad this is coming from a real true man of God. Most pastors in Nigeria has turned churches to something else and revolves their lives on how good you can display your wealth by paying tithes and offering. Most, not all of them are after worldly things. They show love to those who bring tithes to them or sow the so called seed not minding where the money is coming from. All money coming are termed miracle blessings and should be brought to their churches as tithes and offering. Most armed robbers will go and rob and come and pay tithes and the pastor who is not is spirit will collect the tithe and be praying for the person. With the prayer on him, he will proceed to rob more. Those in government will embezzle money and come to the church to pay tithe and their pastor will pray for them and they will go back and steal more.Politicians will kill to get into power and when they get there, they steal money that their forth generation will not finish. When they have stolen the money, they will proceed to build churches and mosques here and there. Their pastors will now be their spiritual fathers and be praying for them day and night for more stealing and blessings. We have lost it.Too bad. This Pastor is right because most of our problems comes from the alter. |

This brings to mind the Ghost workers drama in the federal government pay roll system, some of those that siphoned the money are Christians that even attend church and will even pay tithe with the stolen money. Who is fooling who? 5 Likes |

The part i pick is 'God will not do what man should do himself'....... it reminds me of undergraduate days, when you see people sleeping in different churches during exam (wasting precious time they were suppose to read to pass their exams) praying till dawn, I was seen as a pagan. These churchy people recorded high failure rate, I just had to call those who were my friends to order, that God rewards hard work with success, and they shouldn't waste time praying for 10hours and expecting God to perform magic like merlin in the exam hall. Those who listened didn't regret it at all, and we graduated well to the glory of God. These pastors are part of the societal problem we have.... they make the gullible also believe if you haven't testified in church, its not a testimony, but as long as you tell people who are down, as long as you lift their spirit with how God has taken you from a write-off to what people now admire, you are testifying. These pastors don't even let students understand what tithe is, they make students who don't work believe they must drop tithe; I People should read what the tithe is meant for in the bible, how it is used, how it is spent, what those we forward the tithe to should not posses or have ordinarily as inheritance sef, and then our eyes go open............. I no fit count, its just annoying. fit count, its just annoying. 4 Likes 1 Share |

This is so on point, I stopped going to church long time ago, and when I tell some people my reasons they will idiotically say "you are going to worship God not pastor" as if when I get to church I will block my ears to the nonsense that the pastor is saying or the armed robbers that are giving testimony . It's only in Nigeria that pastor will say somebody shall be a millionaire in 10 days and members don't feel suspicious in fact in U.S. If a pastor says that a couple of times, fbi will be watching him and his members to know where the millions comes from. If a Nigerian politician and a Nigerian pastor comes into your house drive the pastor away first, at least you can negotiate with the politician. 5 Likes |

Agimor: What other post promotes true Christianity more than this stark reality? I think you also need to identify the difference between a realist and an atheist before labelling Seun as one. I am still wondering what necessitated the unnecessary mention of Seun here because he didn't author this article neither was he the MOD that brought it to FP. We must stand up together in condemning the deceptive teachings of these pastors because it's truly causing more problems for our society. It has rendered more people miserable and frustrated in slavery to false teaching that kept them perpetually waiting for miracles. I was in a church program in Lagos recently organized by Liberation Ministries in Ojodu and the G.O (Chris Okafor) declared that members will start receiving miracle credit alerts in their phones as a proof that he is a real man of God. Seconds later, people started coming out to testify receiving miracle credit alerts. What else can be more deceitful and discouraging of hardwork than that? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

histemple: LOL, miracle credit, Hahaha. From who, the pastor himself, no doubt. That pastor is an atheist BTW. No be rocket science. When you see someone selling cocaine in front of the police precinct, either he's a madman trying to commit suicide, or he knows that the place has been empty for some time. This pastor is selling cocaine (telling obvious lies) inside of the church building. He knows something that you don't know. 1 Like |

So much on point. Preaching must be balanced. I still believe in breakthrough but work is an ingredient. It's just unfortunate the kind of country we live in. If things were okay, people will seek less miracles. 2 Likes |

Most or almost all Nigerian's ( and indeed all the world) pastors (and all their followers: For Christ's sheep will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. Christ's sheep know His voice and hear His voice, whether through His own true servants, and they follow Him or Him through His own true and faithful shepherds. Also His own true and faithful shepherds don't shepherd goats of Satan but only the sheep of the chief Shepherd) are false christains. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world ( the false followers) hears them. And A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies shall perish, and, A false witness shall perish. And as the punishment of the false witness is so also shall be those who believe in and follow them. Like Nigeria like her pastors or almost all her pastors. But thank God there are also very few true and faithful pastors and brethren in Nigeria, a very small true and faithful remnants. But you yourself must be a true and faithful brethren or christain before you will can identify and know ( for His sheep also know one another) them and again you will search very well before you meet some of them. Blessed are all the true and faithful brethren or christains in Nigeria and indeed in the whole world but woe unto all the slaves and hypocrites in the house including the beast and the other beasts for they are many and also all the water they are sitting on. And this one himself did not speak the real truth that most pastors in Nigeria are false and children of Satan, that is while they bear the fruits of Satan their father teaching rebellion against God. Read: Pro 19:9; 21:28; Jn 10: 4, 5& 27; 1Jn 4:5. |

This man just nailed it. Nigerians practice hypocrisy at d highest level. I keep asking dos who blame politicians that are they(politicians) not from same society that has bred us?. We are all the same. Its unfortunate how Nigerians don't see exam malpractice as corruption bt quick to condemn politicians for looting. |
