Good morning, how long does it take at the port health desk at the airport. please what is the procedure at the port health desk at the airport to get fit to fly and what is the maximum weeks? I would appreciate your prompt reply as I am travelling Wednesday. thank you

It can take a few minutes to hours.
It's like asking how long does it take to check in.

It depends on the time u get there and the patients there too..

Just a page away it was stated that it's safer to get it d same day of travel..

Leave for the port health on time. Gving time allowance for delay, more people and whatever.

Good morning house, please I would really appreciate any response to my question below. I posted this yesterday. Thanks a lot.

If you are allowed to receive healthk (which most visas do) then I'm guessing the process is the same.
Entry is at the discretion of the cbp and u have to establish certain parameters. So go with your burden of proof

We are having a family vacation and the twins will clock 2 while we are away can they be attached to adult on the return leg or they will be expected to buy a seat

Allow the V.O to request. It indirectly implies desperation

Madam,

The Youth Prog. is the main problem.

It is either you are going for Child Birth or Youth Prog.

Since you are going for Child Birth, you should focus on that.

Please reapply and choose only one.

Because you didn't find it informative doesn't mean others didn't. Reviews are key in making decisions and Fit to fly is also very important. Newbies should read up even if its Part 100....lol

at the time of purchase or is time of trip?

Check their policy... I think it's "at d time u embark on the trip". And since ticket was already bought I doubt return leg might not have issues

U might not b called for interview...

Hmmmm
His point is legit.
Imagine telling a newbie to go back and read (which particularly annoys them) and they are seeing back and forth airplane talks, it will just b as if someone is Stingy with info or bein wicked.

If u see a cheap deal post it, no qualms.
But on reviews trust me we have flogged every airline on this forum. Except air maroc or something. For fit to fly we have dusted that topic too.. A typical example is Two pages away I spoke about the duration and d safest time frame for fit to fly (this is aside those who have also said same)... D next page someone asked same question and another person repeated it again, I even replied another person again. Now I'm sure u get his point dear

It's better we use the search option to search for an airline and see what we all have said about it.

Oya lemme go back and be eating my popcorn

Hello Temyb, how are you doing? Pls I want to know if you printed out the fit to fly form from emirates website for your doctor to fill or you got a letter straight from the hospital? Because I saw the form on their website. Thanx for your response.

Am fine. No I didn't print out the website own. Just get your Dr fit to fly&photocopy it cos they would collect 1 from you&they might ask as u are boarding again in dubai incase u have a very big Tommy.

Thanks for your response; yes, I'm allowed access to health treatment. I was able to register with my husband's SSN at the hospital where I normally receive treatment. If you don't mind, what exactly should my burden of proof contain? Thanks a lot.

i think it depends on the time of ur flight, flew emratesm 12hr layover in dubai...the dubai to lagos flight was for 8.45am or so...we left the hotel by 5.30am [too early for b.fast], n even sef, we were given only 1 voucher..dinner, the previous day.
you can grab a bite at the airport, its not expensive 15usd or so.........then the buffet dinner i had the previous day was more than enough to sustain me till i got on the flight

Does his insurance extend to covering your maternity related issues? Or do you have one taken out for you specifically (if even allowed post pregnancy)? I doubt though, correct me too. And if my doubts are correct, in my thought, you may have to go through about the same process as those on a B1/B2 visa. That's proof to CBP of ability to pay for medical care and the other associated costs to birthing, declaration of intent to birth in the US and doctor's correspondence (which I believe you already have covered), etc.

What's the reason you're flying Emirates, (if you don't mind my asking)
Because right now Emirates prices are through the roof @$5k and above. If price is the driver, why not go klm or Air France? Their price is about $2.5k return to LA in August. September and July are Cheaper. And for me Emirates is an Israelites journey. Cheers.

veleta:
Good morning everyone, pls I need your inputs between flying Arik and Emirates,my destination is LA which is very far and am considering leaving at 35weeks.
The stress of connecting flight from Newyork to LA won't be funny considering I would coming back alone with baby.
I have been calling Delta airline here for some days but they ain't picking,it seems they want to stop plying Nigeria too.
This is a very difficult time to travel.
Thanks,pls don't jump and pass

Yes, my insurance covers my maternity related issues as well as post pregnancy. I was a bit confused when going through the thread and seeing that people were stamped in for a particular duration; I don't have such experience, hence the need to clarify. I even traveled in my first trimester and wasn't asked any questions. I just want to take precaution as this is my first time traveling with a visible pregnant belly. Thanks a lot for your response.

Jgirl sorry about the refusal.
Let's review:
1. Did you make many errors in your form? Any answer different from what you actually filled? Cos it seems her desicion was already made without looking at your burden of proof.
2. Does your husband have a visa? If no try reapplying wiith him. Hopefully the next vo will view the documents and be swayed in your favour.
God's grace and congrats on your pregnancy

Sorry sis for the denial, but I think the response u gave would have made the visa officer uncomfortable. It's best that u tell her u want to give birth and skip the youth programme, it makes it look like u have a divided attention or an hidden agenda. I am sure u will get it the next time if u try. U will notice that she kept on saying hold on after the ans and dats because she felt ure trying to be smart. So next time, just go straight to the point, ure there to give birth. Wish u d best in ur next interview.
