I can't laugh because it shows the level of poverty in the land. The other day in Ekiti a woman stole her neighbour's amala from the kitchen and together with her hungry children, ate it with raw palmoil.

I blame buhari. People can't even afford to feed under his leadership. He's a curse to this nation. Let him resign honorably.

the diabolical thing about this stealing of cooked food is that exactly the same thing happened in 1984/85.
Warri has one name for this particular phenomenon which I can remember now.
Buhari is indeed bad luck.

Yea. My mother in law told me about it. She said during that time only few people could afford to eat very well hence there was much theft around those days. They even used to wash money before using it because the notes were so worn out and dirty due to the fact that there weren't many in circulation. There was serious hunger and poverty in the land.

We don't learn from our history. Buhari is a heart-hardened vindictive man. God will save Nigerians from voting him.
If not their tribalism and bigotry he wouldn't have won that election. They just didn't want a minority as the president of Nigeria. Look at the result.

This same thing happened in 1984, when people had to steal food from the fire because of excessive hunger.
It is good that everyone is enjoying Buhari's change now, when they were warned that Buhari is bad news, they called us names.

The only difference now compared to 1984 is that they are not queing for Bread, salt, sugar, soap and cooking oil. And that is because we now have the Ecowas treaty that will ensure that those things come in through the land borders even if Buhari dares to ban the import.

That Obiageli and Berem that were promoting buhari like the best thing to happen to the universe have gone into hiding now that people are stealing food to survive.

When you have leaders appropriating the resources of the country for their personal gain this is the end result, mass poverty in the land. The average Nigerian is greedy and selfish and believes in the primitive accumulation of wealth .

And some dumb a.ss kids here on NL thinks people not getting paid for almost a year and on the verge of starvation is something to laugh about, you must be fvcking kidding me if you find this story funny. People can be pushed to the wall so far b4 they push back, so keep opening your smelly mouth and be laughing.

Oh well, the funny part of the pathetic story is in the fact that these are the same folks who cheered the politicians on even as their commonwealth was being stolen. It's always funny when the hen comes home to roost. They had it coming.

That's unusual, isn't it part of the Change? grin but seriously one needs to acquire AK47 or better still invite vigilante men to secure your food on fire or risk it's dangers grin grin because Leadership has entered voicemail.
#Hungerbad! If you never meet you no go sabi. But re those people to be called thiefs? Because they were obviously hungry grin grin

Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it's mistake or so they say. Buhari s first tenure that spiralled into IBB's was exactly alike. Pots of Soup were missing everywhere in the country. Families used to cook a pot of soup mostly water with one small fish that acts as decoration cos it was not to be eaten as long as warming continues, except the last day. It is happening again. Buhari cried "while me, now that oil has dropped, I am now president" it didn't occur to him that he is the one bringing it upon Nigerians. He is bad luck period.

it was on this nairaland i saw that TB Joshua prophesied that there would be hunger and costly food items but a lot of people called his bluff. i don't go to his Church. as a matter of fact i have stayed up to 15 years in Lagos but have never been at his Church so i think we should pray and look for God's favour. some will say he is a fake pastor, but were you there when God called him?so may God help us all

I said it, una no dey hear word. As a kid then, I remember takin yam for breakfast instead of bread n tea. All because then gmb banned food termed as luxury, I remember ppl queuein for basic goods. Chai, now we all are sufferin and dying. Loads of ppls hav gone cos dia hearts failed them due to hunger.
Una dey shout change change, hope d change is worth it.
Never give power to a bitter man. Pmb is a bitter vindictive man,una no hear. Obj is not a bitter man despite goin to prison. His govt was not this bad.
I told u guys dat pmb is a bigot tribalist man,una no hear. The way he is goin, the next service chief meeting wil be conducted in hausa cos no southerners are represented.
Now the latest is dat after channels interviews u,u ll be arrestd for critisizin pmb.
Hmmm, dis is just d beginin. Dose dat are on his side, make una dooh. Very soon shame go leave una then una go shout n cry. I ve saved some old comments to be used then.
Infact, everyone shld start buyin foodstuffs in preparatn for inflation.
This is just d begining. Our hope is 2019, am sure all wil turn out.
