Lol.. I'm Igbo, but I don't attend Igbo parties/functions anymore.. It ain't fun.. They do too much talking, the food is scarce, the meat is petty, and don't even let me talk about the drinks..

Igbo men have this hungry ego.. They always want to feel above their peers. My dad once changed 100k to dollars, just to spray his friend's daughter at her wedding.. Why?? Just because Others were spraying naira and he wanted to show them they don't call him 'Chief' for nothing

But some folks have not even taken as little as a bottle of coke at the wedding, and they were watching people spray dollars and naira on their empty stomachs.

But a yoruba party is always dah bomb!! You must eat to your satisfaction! Assorted food.. Assorted drinks.. Even ordinary naming ceremony.. They don't joke with the food.. They make sure it's available for everyone!!

Then the colourful attires.. Lol.. Really nice.

What is a party without jollof rice and big big meat in abundance? Igbo party looks like people came to pay for being invited. I have never heard of a yoruba party wey food no reach. You will not understand until you miss food at a party. Am not really the party type and I don't belong to any of the tribes but yoruba party rules anytime. Yoruba all the way!

I have attended several Igbo parties and that of the Yoruba..To be honest..Abeg i prefer the yoruba party..food, meat and drinks are readily available..food is usually not sufficient in Igbo party like that becos they must have invested that money on other things to show of at the party such as expensive wines and alcohols.so you will drink enough sha.but food is usally not in abudance.as for meat..just know that you are eating your rice with either a small meat or a largh chunk that looks like meat but is filled up with bones....abeg i prefer the yoruba owambe..i always come back happy and satisfied whenever i embark on any owambe than the other one..i am not a yoruba person so i know what i am talking about..
about your food seeking heart, even the "small food" you claim they serve at Igbo parties, dont you notice that most igbos dont even finish the plate as they are already full before comming to the party. unlike you Yoruba that will fall 3 plates, yet still having that murderous eyes about you each time a server passes by without dropping one for you.

Who would want to finish a poorly served food at an igbo party? Why serve me like a dog? Were you forced to host us?

The Yorubas want to make sure you are satisfied so that you can't have tales of the party when you get home. That's why they still ensure people take home as much as they want. That doesn't mean those that took home don't have food at home to eat. They simply took food home cos it was really delicious.

Rubbish.
Nigerians are sickening.
It was created by some folks with inferiority complex, who couldn't notice from the attires in both pictures that they are both Yoruba parties. They always want to put others down just to praise themselves, but each time they do it, they make a mess of themselves.

Its all depend on who is celebrating if they are boxed up or not cos even in some Yoruba parties if u see dollars falling apart "fear go catch u".

Difference is some came to give in abundance while some came to eat and take in abundance undecided

So the people providing the food are not giving in abundance abi? See silly sense.
It would surprise you that all the money being sprayed on the floor is meant for just a few people. The sprayers themselves might even pack some back home. Just show off.

Igbo party is a show off arena not often but that once will be the talk of the town,
For the yorubas they can organise party 4 times in a year for a dead person
The day he died party
The day he ll be buried party
41 days after he/she is buried party
Countless years of remembrance party
Some yorubas will be owning house rent, school fees, they ll never tink of borrowing but if it's for burial they can borrow any amount mostly the ijebu where I came from.

EXACTLY! Like on this thread, it backfired on them. People still praised the Yoruba parties over the Ibo parties.

Don't hate the poster, hate the facts...

Igbos and edos who rise about such creed usually become notable achievers.

Afrocandy and cossy orjiakor that started soft porn and seductive dressing in movies /music videos respectively in nigeria WHAT TRIBE do THEY HAIL FROM?

Abeg go and advise igbo girls to become chiamandas, iwealas, dora's etc. And not afrocandy.

Even in another thread an old man(who I heard is a titled man) like chiwetalu -agu is cupping a woman's bre.ast... isn't that an indictment on igbo culture?
