Yoruba parties all the way. You are groomed and petted, food is yafun yafun, everyone is friendly and Jovial.
Igbo parties are just a waste of time (no offence). You will be treated like an outcast while others behave like they are your superiors. Food is scarce as if na abomination for them to feed their guests.. mtcheew.

I have attended several Igbo parties and that of the Yoruba..To be honest..Abeg i prefer the yoruba party..food, meat and drinks are readily available..food is usually not sufficient in Igbo party like that becos they must have invested that money on other things to show of at the party such as expensive wines and alcohols.so you will drink enough sha.but food is usally not in abudance.as for meat..just know that you are eating your rice with either a small meat or a largh chunk that looks like meat but is filled up with bones....abeg i prefer the yoruba owambe..i always come back happy and satisfied whenever i embark on any owambe than the other one..i am not a yoruba person so i know what i am talking about..

Ibo party: You must know celebrant before even jollof rice reach you.... You go dey line for your face thay will say abacha have finish
One business man friend wil come and in ur front will chop dat abacha.... And the ibo woman no go send
Infact sister or aunty to celebrant wil be with caterers personally to ensure outsiders no chop anyfin

Yoruba party: all man must chop
Infact if u neva chop you can para.... And servers will be like e ma binu.... Wat do u want.... Tell them and jist sit down.... Dey will neva forget that they are obligated to u and will get u dat food
If sister or aunty is with caterers and you complain she will apologise and ensure you are served

Conclusion: we ibos dey look face and big man for party
Yorubas are light years ahead in party. That is why they make best event planners and caterers.... If yoruba handle your wedding.... Efficiency and praise that day

so u carry ur malnutrition face come party just to chop free ewedu and amala go home U said in igbo parties food are not sufficient Well some igbo folks are not as hungry as you are, no need of preparing heaven and earth while it will remain un-touch, If I'm going to occasion/parties I'm not going there to chop free food and go but to honour the invitation and show my swag, before attending any functioning I will make sure I eat well well outside before entering the venue so people won't see me as hungry man, most igbo folks does that... So most celebrates normally cook foods people can finish, so to avoid excess waste, that's called economical, for abundant of drinks, yeah assorted drinks are not avoidable, the reason u see much drink than food is because its returnable, even if u didn't finish a whole cooling van u can return unused drink and ask for refund, people prefer taking drinks in occasion/parties than food, as for me I can't even remember last i ate food in parties, even if u force me the food I will only manage to take the meat and leave ur food like that, u complain of meat So u came to party for free meat Average igboman can afford a cow in his/her parties/occasions some slaughtered 2,5,7 base on fatness of ur pocket, for instance If i honoured an invitation I knew u spend money to organise just merriment, u might borrow money for it, what ever I eat in ur party I will make sure I return that money by doubling it either by spraying money during dance or give it to u by envelope....

Why una won cause unnecessary tribe war. We all know that every naija tribes go to party mainly because of two things. 1. To celebrate or sympathize with the celebrant 2. To eat well well. Cos to we nigeria, no matter the amount of money u spend at ur event where there are no different dishes to show for it. It just as if u haven't done anything at all.

Parties are about fun and togetherness. Where you improve socia skills, make friends and mix with various people, it's not where you go and feel bad you are unable to spray money. You invite people to come and felicitate with you, not for them to come and empty their bank account spraying you that drug money. Going to Igbo party you are under lot of pressure because many invitee are there to show off wealth and the organiser spend a lot on expensive wines and clothes thereby under pressure to recover some. You come a little late no more food and when they spray money you begin to think where did all this money comes from ? Well we all do anyway !

Why are you dragging the Edo's into your dirty fight with the Igbos now? Must you look for help when ever your chips are down. Quit the coward behavior and man up. Even with your magun and all the others, your wives and girls are ran through for free. Come to think of it, the ancestral home of the Edo's is still from the west. Its just that they are the once with a man's heart not the Lilly livered who couldn't surgeon outside home...

..Looks like the only hope for the average Nigerian to eat is by going to parties. lipsrsealed..They will come with nylon bags to pack food for days. Some dont even know the celebrant or what is being celebrated...it is fight for food all the way with all their strenght cheesy

...little wonder some believe in borrowing money to throw parties..how smart is that? undecided
