Party rice? Are you a learner? That's what is served to the kids.
Adults settle for pounded yam and efo riro or efo elese merin. grin
Gosh I love party rice. The flavor is unique.

I don't know if I'll have time for pounded yam and those other heavy foods. But heck I might try it as well. Who cares if I put on 5 pounds on that day alone grin
What's efo elese merin?

Rubbish thread undecided

Completely senseless thread, in fact, making stupid comparisons and bird-brained allusions.

Thought I was gonna see some fabulous pictures, interesting trivia ergo learn more about two of Nigeria's most diverse people groups but what did I see, except this brain-killing, tribalistic waste of MB? embarassed

Both party types have their ills and merits now. That should be obvious.

It would definitely be a crazy gig if all and sundry just came, ate and left without anyone bequeathing any gifts at all (Yoruba version) yet I wouldn't call money spraying an achievement when there's no refreshments to go round the guests either [Igbo jumps]?

Aint the money spraying mostly about ego tripping? And shouldn't some levels of money spraying be classed on Parental Guidance levels because of the totally obtuse way they're done?

Ok, hustling food and chewing like goats hogging curd too? Must you eat at every function, steal their food or even taste every menu option like some people who will pack Amala join Mai-Mai and still add Salad shocked in an extravagant displaly of personal self-respect and greed at the pettiest levels?

Each to his own but I keep saying it: Bringing up trivial, categorically non-empirical presumptions as Tribal Stereotypes do more damage than good!

Dem go pack am go share among emselves after the party.
Awon eranko jati-jati.

In the western world, people go to party to eat, not to spray money like the bia bia illiterate monkeys.

Now if buhari or fayose spray money at a party, they'll be so quick to calling em illiterate du.llards.

But, they're here hailing Igbo sprayin money.
Awon weyrey illiterate-hypocritic monkeys.

Wow this is why I love my tribe over any other tribe ... Omo oduduwa forever .... Yoruba we are the best ... Not like some spraying money with any empty stomach ....
Who told you Yorubas don't spray?
You should should check out Ijebu parties or some other parties with these praise-singers performing and watch people get smothered with cash.
The amount of money thrown around also depends on the nature of the occasion;you'll see wads of dough being wasted in joyful events like weddings, house warmings, etc. but more of food in burial ceremonies.

He was tryin to say na Igbo get money pass.
My friend chijioke couldn't do naming ceremony of his new born, he made us wait for three months before he shared cabin biscuits and sweet.
So pathetic!
No sane Omo Odua dares such horrific st.upidy.
The moment i give birth, i'll invite the whole Nl'ders to come and celebrate with me, by putting on correct laces, golds, shoes, gele & agbada and eating varieties from Amala, efo riro to asorted meats, and catfishes.
Click like if you reject celerating your new born after 3 months with buscuits and sweet.

Why are you dragging the Edo's into your dirty fight with the Igbos now? Must you look for help when ever your chips are down. Quit the coward behavior and man up. Even with your magun and all the others, your wives and girls are ran through for free. Come to think of it, the ancestral home of the Edo's is still from the west. Its just that they are the once with a man's heart not the Lilly livered who couldn't surgeon outside home...

There ain' no party like the Yoruba party.

Even Chimamanda Adichie alluded to this fact through the character Susan in her book, Half of a Yellow Sungrin
