If you really want to hear from God personally, then go and arrange a meeting with a Jehovah's witness. After that you can then make your final conclusion.

I may believe, And the last time I checked, Ailments can go naturally on rare occasions. I know Christians and Muslims who died of cancer and other little sicknesses. Weren't they faithful enough?... Didn't they serve their God diligently??

Reasons why I became an agnostic

1. Many things about religion didn't make sense to me.
2. I was born into Christianity, I didn't make that choice myself, If I had been born in the middle east, I most probably would have been a muslim. It not like it's my destiny to be a Christian.
3. Contradictions in the bible.
4. Atrocities in the world, Why is "our God" not doing anything about it??... Why
5. Hypocritical lifestyle of Christians and Muslims, and their religious leaders.

Op, i used to be just like u. Born as a Christian and just went to church for the sake. Got into university and i knew i had my life in my hands(or so i taught ), went to church a number of times in my first year and that was it for me. Never went again. Lived my life the way i want, besides it was my life (i taught ). Had a dream of the existence of God in 400 level, but ignored it. It wasnt until my final year (500L), that it dawned on me, saw God's manifestation and he spoke to my heart and i believed him wholeheartedly. I still ask him why he chose to accept me, after all my wrongs. My dear, there is a difference between religion and Christianity. I am a Christian (a follower of Christ ). But the truth is whether u believe or not, IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT GOD EXISTS.

I do believe there is a God, power, force, creator, whatever you decide to call, him, her or it, mind you i am not a very religious person, not even been to church in months, but paying closer attention to our environment, the beauty of surise nd sunset, the trees nd flowers nd the important role they play, the birds, nd all other animals nd how they carry on their mundane existence without a care, the silence of the night, the beauty of the night sky lit up with stars nd moon, the oceans and its richness, the snow the rain, everything working in perfect harmony, everything interconnected, its almost as if everything on some level cant do without the other, try taking away the trees from the universe, or the seas or sun, even the sand, everything works in perfect harmony. GOD , of becoming a life form of God here on earth nd spreading his light, love, abundance nd his grace nd easing the suffering of humanity. This is the true essence of free will, we may choose to become something order than what we are. Everything we do here on earth, career, friendships, everything is a tool with which we express who we are. This i believe is the purpose of all life. This may sound all esoteric nd all but with deeper nd broader study will make sense.

Twisted facts...it's possible for all religion to be wrong, but it's not possible for all to be right.... If not why do we criticize some practice. But only one wears the true nature of the truth.
