Those books were the best, man! I learnt reading with Ralia, the sugar girl. Then after, I read every book I came across. I read the Dark Child by C. M Laye in primary school. King Solomon's Mines is one book I'll never forget. If there is anyway I'd get it, someone, please, tell me. But all sha, I thank my mom. God bless her. She showed me all. Btw, I'm just 19. Not everyone of this generation isn't sound. 42 Likes 3 Shares |

I still very well remember all of them. And I remember back then we used to call it 'Reader' and not 'Textbook' How can I ever also forget one of my favorite modules, "A stranger comes to town: in the picture you can see Mr Sada, he's a farmer who lives in Sapele. He plants corn, cassava and groundnut." And "Agbo lives in the town of Lagoon, which is not far from Ibadan." Oh my God, some sense of nostalgia right there. Back then we were great 'readers of Readers.' The joy and glory of education can neither [ever] be lost nor overemphasized. I love you education, you're my family. 22 Likes 2 Shares |
