Op I guess you forgot to add this

11. One of the former governor, James Ibori is currently serving a jail term in the UK.

12. It's one of the states with the highest allocation in Nigeria yet has little to show for it.

Ibori is one man and has nothing to do when we talk about the whole state. Mind you, though he is corrupt, he still remains the best governor we've had in a long time.

Delta has not been blessed with good leaders so I agree with your second point.

If you say so bro! I feel your pain. Really, I do cry

But I leave you with this; "Even in the middle of a vast desert, one can see an oasis!" Cogitate on that.

The pain you are feeling must be yours or someone else's cos I am copacetic right now..

Speaking of Desserts and Oasis, I wouldn't hold my breath to find any Oasis in Delta State..

Its purely a place to do business, make money and move on.

I passed by Warri this weekend on my way to Benin.. I know Delta quite well. From Uromi to Ogwashiukwu (or something like that), e.t.c..

I stayed in delta for quite sometime, though i didn't visit every hook and cranny, but, i must say your article is so aptly written and portrays theDeltans.

They are so funny ,so damn friendly and warm, i've never seen such kind of people in my movement around Nigeria.

Their folks and drinks are like 5&6, turn-up/grooving for them is just nothing.

And 70% of their women tend to have heavy yansh or huge brezz (so thick), they so welcoming but they drink alot, giving em protruding tummies - like 40%. Some of em have this mean INoWonVex face with feist beauty (kinda stuff i like).

I really enjoyed my stay there especially with their thick women (can't forget rukky and temisa cheesy) and their brain busting food, but, their govt no won make the place improve atal (such nice people cursed with bad leaders) pathetic.

Too all the peace-loving deltans in the house mehn, so much love from me.

Delta has had the worst set of Governors in this country. Nothing to show for the oil money in the entire state.

Good one OP. Also add Ebu. They're are in delta and are related to the Igala-speaking people of Kogi state. They descended from there and speak a dialect of Igala. Danke.

I haven't met anyone from there though. That is good. I wish I can edit the post to add it but it has been locked, I guess. Thanks for the addition though.

True. Many Deltans of the true old Delta province fought against the Asaba capital location but it has come to stay and there is nothing we can do about it at all. We just have to deal with it. Agbor/Kwale/Ughelli/Abraka are more central locations for the capital rather than Asaba. Any visitor who visits Asaba for the first time will assume ALL DELTANS are IGBOS because of the Igbo-factor in Asaba.

Our only hope is that Anioma State be created and the capital moved. Until then, Asaba remains our capital for better or worse.

Agbor/Kwale/Ughelli/Abraka are more central locations for the capital rather than Asaba which is closer to Anambra state than it is to Delta State. IBB played a fast one on this though... But let us live and let be. Asaba has come to stay as capital.

This guy used only one sentence to discuss the Ijaws of Delta who are the main source of Delta state income . Nah wah oh . Why do people hate the Ijaws so much ?

Well, I really didn't have much to say about Ijaws though. If you do, you can contribute to this thread by adding your info.

**I don't dislike Ijaws. Some of my acquaintances are Ijaws and they are a lovely lot.

More or less you are saying the Anioma people are not welcomed in the current delta set up?

Is location the most important factor in siting a state capital?
