Lessons Learned From PMB Regime by Gistitydotcom: 7:13am On Jul 05, 2016 |
As Nigerians, we tend to mostly see the bad in every situation and neglect the good or moral lessons. But I think in order to progress as a country, especially for common men like us, it’s necessary to sit back, analyze every situation and try to see what we can learn from it. Today’s case study will be ‘lessons learned by Nigerians from PMB’s regime’. Though the lessons are numerous and touches different people in different ways, today we are considering probably the ones that affects us all as a country. PMB has proven that you don’t have to go to school to be a President In fact from the look of things, you don’t even need to be educated to govern Nigeria. This gives hope to the common Nigerian who thinks of dropping out of secondary school but has been looking for the reason to convince his parents that he is not mad and he knows what he wants to be in life. Think no further, tell mummy, tell daddy that you want to be a president like PMB. After all when you get there you have the privilege of hiring seven or more so called ‘learned individuals’ to prove that you don’t have to pass through school to have a certificate. Lying can be a profitable career if harnessed properly If you have doubts about it, ask the man who told us that 1 Naira will equal 1 dollars once PMB wins. If that is not enough ask the man who promised you 5,000 Naira every month for being jobless. If you are still not convinced, ask the person that claims the country is running on an empty treasury left by last administration. Then the question is, can an engine wrong without fuel? Talk less of a whole country like Nigeria. If you are in doubt of how much he earns, the records of his recent trip to China will prove to you that lying is a profitable career. Corruption depends on one’s perspective Imagine, the legislative arm of government risk going to jail over a forgery case they claim to know nothing about but the leader of the executive arm of government can’t go to jail for forged certificate and inability to provide one. A sitting governor who has immunity got his personal account frozen but our minister, a former governor, whom people have written petitions to be probed, is roaming around and still spending freely. Bearing the same name as an influential person might be a curse If in doubt ask Aisha Buhari. I don’t know... I just imagine how much time and efforts it took the op to compose and write this stuff and what he could have done with his time. Does he think that people outside Nairaland will recognize him as an intelligent person. |
