Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by worry359(m): 11:42am On Jul 06, 2016 |
OJCITY22: A study visa is ONLY for study. Not for tricks to get round working. Even if you were to get a visa this early Point of entry will see that you are trying to enter too soon and then big wahalla. You could have the visa cancelled and all money lost. 2 Likes |

OJCITY22: No because when you defer you must leave the country just as when you deferred admission you can't go to lecture room to receive lectures. So applicant are expected to leave the country as well and if not and they get caught the consequences is not good |

Angelapinkytoes: Thanks my dear .......Fine I guess . Today a report came out regarding the way "Liar Tony Blair" took Britain into the Iraq war so i guess around me , lots of reflection and sadness on the no of people who have died and the mess that came out of the Iraq war . I guess somehow we are directly or indirectly affected by it all because for example , it gave rise to Boko Haram in Nigeria . |

Observant: That one dey very easy .....MIS is not unique so like 70% of schools have it . You just have to take your time and find the right school based on your budget and the quality of the schools. The link below should guide you on tuition , international are classified out of state . The list is undergrad price so in most schools grad tuition is slightly cheaper (It shows total cost which includes living cost ) . You can search for MIS masters and refer back for the price SNHU might work out better but you have to research to see if that the one or cheaper options of same quality dey !! ......Research takes time but yeah it something you have to do . For example in terms of ranking university of minnesota twin cities is top 5 in MIS and the total cost is about 10k cheaper than SNHU (SNHU if 42k, Twin is 30K) according to this estimation however Cold go finish you for there . If you do GRE and score high enough then you MAYBE u get some tuition off .. I have seen a couple of transcript with Minot State University, look how affordable their tuition is safex101 : http://www.collegecalc.org/lists/america/most-affordable-out-of-state-total/ |

LagosismyHome: Thanks, I am already on it. I am looking out for a non mba marketing course. Based on your experience, which region is best to study? and also which business course "you think" is more marketable. Just your opinion. |

Walspring: They don't need to be caught before facing consequences. Their status reflects their out of school and unemployment after 90 days (idle). Then they fall out of status, becoming illegal and need to file reinstatement (involving lawyer in most cases) to get back in school. |

safex101: Business course at a master level is a bit funny because its not so much the course that matter but your work experience u bring to the table , so the masters just compliments it ......... Dont know if you get me . During recruitment they would only glance at ur degree but focus more on the work experience so business masters are peculiar like that . Even in terms of marketability it will still draw down to your experience . If u have procurement experience before then Supply chain is good, if you have finance background then a Good MSC finance so i would say marketability till draws to your experience u bring in addition to the degree .. I would say maybe marketing might be the hardest . I just feel marketing team maybe they like those with american accent to sell a product , once them hear naija voice go say haba no but that me stereotyping . Pay no serious attention to me non mba marketing course ......not sure what this means . But if you want MBA , Check Howard University . The reason why i like that school is they have a good GA program especially for your second year if u can have good grades. And in terms of recruitment , most of the top companies go there to fill their Black quota . So the only thing stopping u from getting a job there is your inability to perform well at interview if not the school exposes you a lot to it . There are other good schools as well that have good recruitment but that one comes first to mind 1 Like 1 Share |

imperiouxx: if you know how cut throat that wall street be ehnn . The competition is not for the faint hearted ooo. U constantly feel fire in your yansh , the pressure and competitiveness is so intense . And also getting in at entry level is easier , at a higher level it still about ur experience to compliment the degree from Baruch . But hey if u want anything go for it , chase it with all you got .... |

LagosismyHome: All you need is just an internship position, if you're lucky, you're in. That's why Baruch is one of the best business schools. Their strong affiliations with Wall street. 2 cousins of my wife went through all this. They are living fine and large in downtown, Manhattan now. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by mevisbleek: 4:38pm On Jul 06, 2016 |
imperiouxx: Hmm, interesting. E be like say I go begin think Baruch. My work experience coupled with strong gmat score, na 185k per year plus 40% bonus a and a company car I go dey request from employers after graduation. Lol |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by imperiouxx(m): 4:43pm On Jul 06, 2016 |
mevisbleek: The problem is if you have no one in NYC, living as a student in the city is really stressful and expensive. Those cousins were living with my wife parents in Staten Island, crossing to Manhattan with ferry. I'm just talking about this with her now and she said I should tell whoever is coming to Baruch that it's a very very connected college for business. |
