This is f*ucking barbaric! Why not treat them humanly? They're innocent until proven guilty by court of law! Even if court decides they're guilty, court has no right to treat them inhumanly.

This is one of the reasons Nigerian police is the worst! They're very incompetent and behave like stteet thugs and criminals!

Police has no right to exert punishments, that's why we've court of law. Police duty is to keep law and order. It can arrest whoever breaks any law and send the alleged offender to court.

If this happened in a civilized country, everyone involved would be sacked and possibly jailed. What we have in police are inept as*sholes!
