This is true. Rooney has been playing top flight/professional football since he was 16. He started far younger than most players so his decline now is unsurprising. Rooney isn't a professional in making sure his body remains in good shape like Ronaldo who has also delclined but still plays at a very high level. Rooney's current level is not good enough for a top club or side with title aspirations. It's been like this for about 2 years now.

"He is aided by the fact he plays in a forward role, when receiving the ball is more of an issue but that was an advantage for him. I am not surprised the team we were playing against were aggressive in defending so he has to take credit in being able to handle that part."

Zlatan aside, the other 2 players Bailey and Mkyitaryan, I didn't watch them at all last season or any other previous season in their careers. From what I'm reading, fans are more excited with the signing of Mkyitaryan than they are for Bailey.. Anyways, I hope all 3 signings -
and any other player we sign before the new season, deliver as expected and bring all the titles home (community shield, capital one cup, Fa cup, Europa league and the biggest of them all - the premier league!!)
