The 50% cut in salary will soon be duplicated in most states and at the Federal Level. That is the reality of our present predicament! We are gradually getting to a state where governors will be happy for workers to go on strike so that they can rest. Workers will beg to come back when they are tired of strike......Difficult days ahead! Regards |

The governor should show good example by cutting his own salary first by 50%. Hypocrites everywhere in government. 1 Like |

That's the headache of the people who think working for government and earning salaries would solve their problems. Becoming your own boss without stress is the only solution to this nonsense. No demotion. No salary cut. No queries. Only credit alerts! Just check my signature sharp sharp! |

Everybody is castigating the Governor but if truly that there is no enough money to pay the usually huge state work force due to dwindling allocation. There are only two options. Downsize the work force after all most of them are just idling away or reduce the salary. I think the later is the better option so that everybody will bear the blunt. 1 Like |

While some are donating Prado Jeep to their lawmakers, some are owing their workers. While workers deserve increment in wages, some state government are reducing wages. It's time to face our governors and concentrate less on Buhari 1 Like |

Why are our politicians so useless and greedy?Instead of the lunatic to cut down his huge salary and useless allowances with that of his aides,he wants to cut down those of the civil servant who have kids and dependable relatives to cater for.Mr governor, the thunder make him go fire you die still they gym.Useless and demented politicians.salary that your kids up keep money is greater than 1000 times you want to cut down.I better stay with a snake than with a nigerian politician. |

Gosh! Men, you could do better than this! If you reside is Nas, or close to anyone who does, then you would have understood the plight of the workers! Since around September last year, he started slashing that of LGA's, and now extending to State workers. Nas is a state that have been ravaged by Fulani invasion. Everytime they transit to Benue communities via Nas they destroy lots of food and cash crops, houses, goods and properties worth Millions. Needless to remind you that Nas is an agrarian state. 95% of the state workers engage in farming, while others provide other services aside their job! You can't fold ur hands, and watch what's rightfully yours taken away from you! The issue of laxity, is out of the box here. Think of something better! As a reminder, Al-Makura, has impaired hearing, and his non-challant attitude to certain issues makes him appear daft! Okijajuju1: |

SirREX94: Let me toe your line of argument. . So the state's income has depleted due to the activities of Herdsmen in the state. Which means this is a force majure situation. It still justifies the government's actions. You can't pay what you don't have. 1 Like |
