@all experienced mamas, I beg I can eat now ooooo. Chai, infact no matter how I eat I must top it up with either pap, oat, water melon , tea or garri water. Rice na voice mail, it doesn't fill me no matter how I eat it. I can finish five glasses of water at ones. Hmmmm is this ok?

Also there are days I eat and still no satisfaction no matter what I eat and how much of it I take.

Pls advise. Is dis normal? Before now am not a eating much person, food doesn't appeal to me much. Now am a different person.

Iya beji, how do you intend to breast feed twin babies and care for them without strength from food It is very normal for your body to demand for more food so you can meet up. Please feel free to eat when your body demands for it. ...It's a phase of your life and it will also pass. All you can do now is try to replace the carbohydrates foods with other classes of food such as proteins. Instead of pap, take oats.Continue with your water drinking. The water melon too is very good for you....You can also change your milk to low skimmed milk if you avoiding fat.

Mama twins, weldone dear. Breastfeeding is alot of work and with twins, u exert more energy, therefore you need more calories. That's just the simple reason why you eat much. Don't beat yourself to it, it is absolutely normal. If you don't eat, na fainting levels o!

Britneystacy, changing carbs to protein no work o! I av been 'resurrected' severally cos of food! Don't do any dieting when you breastfeed. You will never be satisfied, exhaustion will be ur new name, before you know u don land hospital. Forget skimmed milk, drink your full cream milk. You can think of weight loss later.

First one month I felt so light and feeling fainted even as I consume heavily. Before I knew it I begin to feel better and started adding cos I lost weight after I put to bed.

Also, I make sure I use my drugs religiously, do you do same?

Am still on ferrous, folic acid, vitamin c, pregnacare breast feeding. Try check your pcv as well. I take plenty oranges too, this definitely will make me have appetite for food, you can do same.

God help us.

Good morning mummies, aunties and sisters in the house.... Please I need your prayers and advice last month I posted I was pregnant and we all rejoiced. I went to the hospital on Wednesday for my next appointment to see the doctor but on getting to the hospital the asked to do a viginal scan so as to see how the baby is doing at 8wks. But response from the doctor was that there's no heartbeat from the baby and I should go to the hospital to take the baby out..... And then come back for appointment in October so as to see how to get pregnant again.
And I told him ok and left with the paper he gave me to take to the hospital for them to remove the baby.
But as I was with the doctor inside me I refused the negative words he said that my baby has no heartbeat and the baby isn't growing, of which I could see changes from the last scan and present scan done. Immediately I called my mum and our family doctor in Nigeria and explained thing to both of them.

NaijaFamily doctor Asked for the old and present scan, which I sent immediately to him and he said no I shouldn't go and take off the baby cos there's a difference, but I should go back in 2 or 4 Weeks to do another scan since I didn't see blood or anything.

But for my mummy Na swear she swear for oyinbo people say nothing will happen to me and the baby that some baby you won't even know you pregnant till you close to delivery.

My people am seriously confused please please please what do I do cos this has made I and my DH not happy and is our first baby, to extend that my husband asked me to go and do pregnancy test again ystday and its positive cos no blood or brownish stain....My boobs is fuller, I sleep a lot but no vomiting and spitting.....

Just replying my mentions.
Please feed baby NAN but still put him to your boobies to stimulate milk productiin/flow.
Have you tried hot pap, tea etc? Even drink warm water and eat starchy food like yam.
Also massage your boobies and put the baby to them.
I hope he is latching on well? His lips must cover the nips plus the whole areola ( the dark part).
When feeding with NAN, please give enough water ( boil water and serve warm).




My aunt once told me that once she births, her milk gushes out. She always massages the breast ( and cleanse the nip) once she lands 3rd trimester. I didnt do it in my first and it took like 4 days for milk to flow ( he was on admission sha), but for the second, I did it not minding the heaviness and ache and trust me within 2 hours of birth, Atinuke was suckling and gulping ni ( altho upon all her suckysucky she no still fat , sometimes I will be like abi my milk is low-fat ni.....for slimmer babies )

Why not go for another scan at a private center for a second opinion? They are slightly expensive though.

Although some might not offer scans for pregnancies less than 12 weeks but there's no harm.

AyaTiraj...pls be calm nd do anoda scan as adviced,i had d same issue wt my first cuz i was anxious to b pregnant nd immediately i did d urine test,i went to hospital to register nd ws almost down wen d doc did a VE for me and said its only fibroid nd shuld go for scan,i was walkin by d roadside lik a zombie nd wen i got to d scan centre nd d man was rollin dat stuff on my tummy nd explainin hw big d fibroid is,i jst cut him short nd said'abeg sir is dia viable sac' he said sure..u r pregnant,i jst stood up nd thank him,i didnt even boda to go bck to d clinic cuz i ws just angry so sis as long u r nt feeling cramps or seeing blood,just tak it easy wt faith nd kip takin ur folic acid cus it s extremely importAnt,God gat u mam.

@Bellaella, I had the fainting experience. Check ur PCV and take iron rich food. Also try not to exhaust yourself too much e,g trekking much or doing much at once. Sorry o!
As for the placenta previa, type 1 is the minor one. May likely move b4 36wks scan. So relax and free ur mind.
