I visited the site and found it fascinating. Whoever conceived the idea of creating a mini tunnel or mini interchange or whatever it turns out to be called is a genius. I've never witnessed such anywhere in Nigeria. I've seen under passes and tunnels but most of them are usually one directional. Kudos to Rochas Okorocha and his team for this invention.

This ingenious because it will serve the purpose of an interchange at an extremely reduced budget. If an interchange will cost 4billion Naira this mini one should be 400 million. The major disadvantage I see in this mini is the height which is not enough for high vehicles like trucks and tankers. Future modifications of this idea might require making the tunnel high enough for trucks.

this is a tunnel?

calling NNPC and Nigerian bottling company, kindly send 10 fully loaded trailers and tankers to cross the overhead of that thing while the OP is standing underneath it. let's try a stress test.

speaking about beautification of the town,I believe the town has a master plan? one year ago the Governor started the beautification of Orlu road and placed cement slabs over the gutters and painted the sides of the road.
one year later he bought a new pair of glasses and discovered that the master plan actually said the Orlu road should be dualized. so he destroyed the gutters and slabs he built and started the dualization without compensation to owners of properties.
truly Imo state with the highest internally generating revenue is looking like small London.

I just discovered the people from the east are the most ignorant people in this country. if you think succession is easy go and ask the dependent states under the united kingdom. americans, united kingdom, kenya, south africans are not one, where ever you go to in this world, a group of people must be marginalized and its natural, sorry if you are a victim, this has nothing to do with hate,

.

Sincerely I don't see it as a tunnel neither do I see it as interchange. I believe its a low budget traffic decongestant that will play the role of tunnel or interchange. I foresee many States borrowing this idea in near future because its definitely affordable.

that is the major road leading to port Harcourt, the adjoining roads are all bad and can't withstand the capacity of such large trucks. which roads should the trucks take?

when you see something good, you say so. he has created many adjoining roads in owerri, round about, street lights , 21 non functioning hospitals, privately owned state of art diagnostic center.
he has done great things

Which of the adjoining roads are bad? I used that area few days ago and all the roads are good and well marked.

It is not ordinary to conceive such a great idea. You cant call it culvert because it isn't. A culvert is one directional mini bridge.

that's the problem, that particular spot is not and has never experienced the kind of traffic that justifies that....that....thing. there are problematic spots in the town were such a structure will be deemed necessary, not there.
Another thing, you said it was temporary.
at 400m?!!??

You can't tell. In as much as Lagos State is rich much of the State remains starved from infrastructure. Low budget concepts can help use less to achieve more.

You are really not smart and probably south of ignorance if you just discovered that people from the east are the most ignorant people in this country. I guess you meant the zoo called Nigeria when you referenced "this country" in your silly post above.

You are really ill-educated. A mere useless underpass which cannot stand the test of free flowing traffic has turned a tout in Okoroawusa into a builder.
