what kind of mediocre project is this? Looks Average and dirty.
Imo State should kick out APC in 2019 jor.

It is beautiful even though its not completed yet. It looks like it's gonna turn out green and good with palm trees and coniferous trees.

You can't tell. In as much as Lagos State is rich much of the State remains starved from infrastructure. Low budget concepts can help use less to achieve more.

Let us be truthful to ourselves as indigenes whose money is being used, do that project worth N400m?

This ingenious because it will serve the purpose of an interchange at an extremely reduced budget. If an interchange will cost 4billion Naira this mini one should be 400 million. The major disadvantage I see in this mini is the height which is not enough for high vehicles like trucks and tankers. Future modifications of this idea might require making the tunnel high enough for trucks.

Hey!!! Just when I thought you've said it all you're still breaking your records for being the world best Ig no rant literate.

You are really ill-educated. A mere useless underpass which cannot stand the test of free flowing traffic has turned a tout in Okoroawusa into a builder.

Mr academician what have you done for the State in your lifetime other than find fault in what others have done?

The problem with Igboland is that their red soil has a way of making even the most beautiful project look ugly.

Looks like a modified version of the EBEANO tunnel in Enugu.

Owerri does not have red soil. It's exactly same soil type as Port Harcourt. Most road constructions are done with laterite and this project is not completed yet hence the laterite visibility.

Abagworo, saying other states needs to learn from this is an insult. Do you know how many like this exist in villages, in certain states in nigeria?

Enugu and anambra are the only states with red soil problem in SE and it extends into parts of benue and kogi. what you see above is laterite used as filling materials during construction

I visited the site and found it fascinating. Whoever conceived the idea of creating a mini tunnel or mini interchange or whatever it turns out to be called is a genius. I've never witnessed such anywhere in Nigeria. I've seen under passes and tunnels but most of them are usually one directional. Kudos to Rochas Okorocha and his team for this invention.
Maryland in Lagos has a proper one.

I just discovered the people from the east are the most ignorant people in this country. if you think succession is easy go and ask the dependent states under the united kingdom. americans, united kingdom, kenya, south africans are not one, where ever you go to in this world, a group of people must be marginalized and its natural, sorry if you are a victim, this has nothing to do with hate,
...it's secession and not succession.. .. Now who is ignorant?

calling NNPC and Nigerian bottling company, kindly send 10 fully loaded trailers and tankers to cross the overhead of that thing while the OP is standing underneath it. let's try a stress test.

speaking about beautification of the town,I believe the town has a master plan? one year ago the Governor started the beautification of Orlu road and placed cement slabs over the gutters and painted the sides of the road.
one year later he bought a new pair of glasses and discovered that the master plan actually said the Orlu road should be dualized. so he destroyed the gutters and slabs he built and started the dualization without compensation to owners of properties.
truly Imo state with the highest internally generating revenue is looking like small London.

I still remember how we unanimously complained that all the major roads in old Owerri were too narrow even though dualised. Sometimes sacrifices are made today to save future Governors the stress of not being able to take difficult 1st tenure decisions. Douglas Road will be worst hit when bulldozers hit there. Some misguided people are already planning a showdown with government over reconstruction and expansion of Douglas Road and reconstruction of Eke Onuwa and Amausa. To me those people are stupid as they are the same people condemning Okorocha tor bad state of Douglas and Amakohia flooding.
