Yes they can, especially through your tags... If you Google a celebrity, you may see some results like

This is because those bloggers have optimized their tags, even if their post on tiwa doesn't rank, the tags will rank, and it's even better as the tag will include all posts on Tiwa Savage.

So for entertainment blogger, do your best to break news early, and rank for keywords like 'latest entertainment gist in nigeria' 'celebrity gossip I nigeria' e.t.c...

Rank for celebs, rank for breaking news, entertainment news, events...

Also, see how many searches these keywords get per month... An entertainment blogger can target naija gists...

Blogging is a two edged knife the first edge is your on-page while the second edge is your off page. As an seo expert, when you talk of Nairaland and lindaikeji they rank due to domain age and popularity, Which no new blogger can get without good seo or paying Facebook, Nairaland or Linda ikeji for advert.

All new bloggers needs to work on their on-page seo rather than hoping to become Nairaland, Bella naija and Linda overnight. You can write a news and rank faster and higher in google search engine if you optimize properly. Linda and naira land rank due to high trafic from Facebook, Twitter and normal regular visit by you and i.

That kind of ranking doesn't last if properl seo is not applied. He that thought me seo, ranks more than Nairaland and co when ever he writes a post.

Note: A six months old blog with good seo will ranks better in any post more than that of Nairaland. Seo is still the king of the game. Your content is good but your seo is better.

Very funny comment, have you realized lalasticlala sometimes changes the post title from what the Original Poster uses to something else? that's title optimization which is a part of On-Page SEO.

Linda ikeji doesnt fetch much google traffic, she has more of returning visitors. Young bloggers still have very poor domain authority, so they either try SEO or social network as no one knows their brand from the onset.

1. That's from Google keyword planner... You should sign up so you can use it.

2. The high and low only means how much advertisers are targeting the keyword.

3. You can optimize for a particular keyword after assessing the blogs that are currently ranking for the keyword. If they are very high, look for one that you can easily knock out competitors, and continue optimizing for it. Do your on page SEO and create backlinks around that keyword... It will take time, but you'll get there.
