Hi guys, the surest way to get any IT placement is to apply manually. The online platform works fine if the company itself rolls out an application portal.
For the manual process, all you need do is Google the company you are interested and copy their contact address. Forward your IT Letter, CV and Cover Letter at the post office or physical drop and you are good to go.
It costs a token of N100 to send these documents (after weighing) to any state within the country (NIPOST). That's all. Just get enough company list and forward your credentials.
I get loads of calls from various companies saying i should come over for interview few weeks before starting the IT.

As for me, I do stay with a friend's Uncle and I join Pivot-Gis company(Engineering services company to Nlng) Bus to and fro. The accommodation varies Self con(8-10k per month), Batcher house(2-3k per month), For the transport, To and fro from bonny to the Industrial Area is #300 daily.

For the ExxonMobil, the application has closed already for this year but i'll still drop the process. You will need to download a scanned application form from the internet. Just Google 400L ExxonMobil SIWES and you'll see the link to download the form. Fill up the form and attach the necessary documents which includes: Passport photograph, IT letter etc (Can't remember all but it is well stated on the form).

The form should be addressed and sent to the address you'll see online. I sent it from a post office (Registered mail @ N450 to Akwa Ibom within 4 days). Other options are at the post office but use the registered mail instead because it is faster and very reliable. That's all

You will be contacted for the exam either in Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt depending on your location. If you pass the exam, you'll proceed to the phone interview. That's the whole process. I was later contacted for the medicals and i got in. It was just God because about 6,000 of us applied and they only picked 32 of us all over the country. I'm not discouraging you guys but give it a shot. God will surely favour us all.

the requirements for I.T in Total include:
handwritten application stating; matric num, course of study, current year of study, duration of I.t, contact email, phone num.
I.T letter from school,
valid school ID
a passport photograph.
you will need a Total staff to referee you before your application is accepted if you are applying from pH office. also you don't need a referee to submit your application if you are applying from Lagos office. let me know if you have any difficulty applying, I can link you up with the HRM in charge of I.T students recruitment.

I applied around august/September 2015, Was invited for test on December 4th, 2015, scaled through the test(got 90%) and was contacted on march 31st 2016 to resume on April 4th.
