An old client showed me a type of roller she brought from her travel that can give wall paper like patterns.
I found it fascinating and did research about it.
I've attached some pictures.
Perhaps it's common abroad, but this is the first time of coming across such.
It would be more durable than wallpapers and very cheap in cost.

Yo are very right, it is durable, cheaper and even very easy to change (change colour. change design, e.t.c)

Its actually NOT a Wallpaper at all.
It has no "paper" in it at all.

*What you have is a wall painted with a certain colour (grey in the picture you showed).
*Then you have a "textured Roller" with Design Patterns on it
*Then you have another Roller which will be impregnated with paint of a different colour to the Wall
*As you roll the "textured" Roller, it rubs on the paint of the Roller behind it and that will smear the "Design" on the front Roller with paint.
*The front Roller now Rolls over your wall and impregnates it with the "painted Design" on it.

That way, it transfers its the design texture onto the Wall and makes it look like a Wallpaper.

#Just trying to explain the process of how it works, you may already know this.

If one has a very large expanse of wall, one can use it to give it some attractive designs, instead of leaving it blank.
