So how come all Yorubas in lagos are from lagos state?

I was even talking to two yoruba ladies the other day and one told the other, you are from Ibadan nah, the other lady shouted, "Stop that! I am from lagos oo!"

I just laughed but did not say anything.

Yorubas should be proud of their states, lagos was collectively developed.

So why did Peter Obi of Anambra relocate destitutes from Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom back to their state of origin, and this happened before Fashola's action?

No state government likes to have destitutes on its streets. Like Peter Obi, like Fashola.

So what is good for the goose is not good for the gander?

When a market in Oshodi was recently demolished and the Yoruba owners of the shops moved on, their Igbo tenants were crying allover that they were being victimised for being Igbo, despite the market being populated by majority Yoruba. Several notices had also been given to the traders to relocate before the eventual demolition.

It has always been the curse of the immigrant to think that their host would suffer in the wake of their exit. Immigrants in USA, UK, France, Germany etc feel the same way, so it is no surprise Igbos feel the same about Lagos or Kano.

The mistake every immigrant tribe make is that once you leave, another ethnic grouping will fill the void. You do not contribute anything unique. You are there because you need to be there for greener pastures, not because you were implored to come render any help.

You will not be missed.

Misguided!
What Peter Obi did and what Fashola did are not the same thing. Peter laised with the Government of the indigenes state to take care of their wards on return. But Fashola just moved people to the middle of nowhere, dumped them there and moved on as if they are nothing. That was very bad of Fashola but I do accept the fact that he apologised.

It is very bad of you to call an Igbo man an immigrant in Nigeria. The concept of 'one Nigeria' is that I as an Igbo man must feel as comfortable in any part of Nigeria as I feel in Enugu. The concept of 'one Nigeria' is that there is no 'Yoruba land', Akure might as well be Aba. You cannot say 'my land' and be saying 'one Nigeria' at the same time. One must give way. If you don't like it then create Oduduwa Republic and proclaim your sovereignty just like Igbos once did with Biafra. But as long you guys still stand by one Nigeria, you must abide by its meaning. The 'SW' is an extension of Igbo land as far as I'm concerned and I'm backed up by the constitution to make that claim.

Point of correction, yorubas are proud of where they come from unlike you people and we are also proud of our language to the extent of making 'hit' songs outta them.

As for the survival of the fittest, we accommodate you people, we are like the landlords here. There is no survival here because no one is fighting you for a land or place i.e. that clearly belongs to the Yorubas / south west . It doesn't just make sense.

You people are not the only non indigene tribes in Lagos. For crying out loud, Dangote alone employs quite a number of people, the Hausas aren't making noise about it.

Did Lagos State not officially notify Anambra state about the destitutes that were to be relocated? Did Anambra state not acknowledge with its own reply?

Whose fault is it if Anambra state decided to decline any further correspondence on the matter, thinking Lagos would foolishly carry the burden of Anambra state?

As long as Peter Obi did what he did in One Nigeria without the Igbos wailing, Fashola would do the same without any regard for the same Igbos as was done with other destitutes of other tribes.

You shall get the same measure of what you also give in One Nigeria. Treat others like kings in your domain, expect to be treated like kings elsewhere. Do the contrary, then expect the reciprocation.

This report was Published in June 2015, and is based on data collected on years between 2004 and 2014.
According to the MPI Report, as at 2010, 46% of Nigerians lived below the national poverty line (Only 28% in Urban areas, and near 70% in The rural). Although a Report by the World bank, released in 2014, showed that only 33% of Nigerians could be considered Poor.

What is the global MPI?

The global Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) is an international measure of acute poverty covering over 100 developing countries. It complements traditional income-based poverty measures by capturing the severe deprivations that each person faces at the same time with respect to education, health and living standards.

The MPI assesses poverty at the individual level. If someone is deprived in a third or more of ten (weighted) indicators (see left), the global index identifies them as ‘MPI poor’, and the extent – or intensity – of their poverty is measured by the number of deprivations they are experiencing.

The MPI can be used to create a comprehensive picture of people living in poverty, and permits comparisons both across countries, regions and the world and within countries by ethnic group, urban/rural location, as well as other key household and community characteristics.

This makes it invaluable as an analytical tool to identify the most vulnerable people – the poorest among the poor, revealing poverty patterns within countries and over time, enabling policy makers to target resources and design policies more effectively.

The global MPI was developed by OPHI with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) for inclusion in UNDP’s flagship Human Development Report in 2010. It has been published in the HDR ever since.http://www.ophi.org.uk/multidimensional-poverty-index/
http://www.dataforall.org/dashboard/ophi/index.php/

THIS IS FROM WORLD BANK
The NER also documents major differences in poverty and living standards by macro-region in Nigeria. While the South of Nigeria has relatively low poverty rates, ranging from 16% in the South West to 28.8% in the South East, poverty rates in the North West and North East are 45.9% and 50.2%, respectively. While the South of Nigeria (especially the South West) has experienced a strong positive dynamic in poverty reduction in recent years, the poverty rate in the North West has remained stagnant, while poverty has actually increased in the North East. Thus, disparities between the North (North West, North East) and South of Nigeria in poverty and living standards have increased. This is no doubt related to the recent security challenges in the Northern part of Nigeria. Explanatory factors for the high differences in living standards by geographical region are likely related to differences in the provision of public services and the degree of connectedness to larger markets.

NER MEANS NIGERIA ECONOMIC REPORT..maybe it is a Yoruba man that owns it...

Igbos are mainly traders that buy and sell on a daily basis, when they sell they deposit and when they want to buy they withdraw. The circle keeps repeating on a daily basis, my friend that is not a measure of development or wealth.

If I withdraw N5000 from Bank and bought a shoe for N4500 which I later sold for N5000 and deposited it back to the bank the same day, financial transaction for that day is recorded as N10,000 but I truly don't have that amount in reality. Imagine repeating the same thing on a daily basis and tell me what my financial transaction will be for a week not to talk of a month.

You just reason, how will anambra's financial transactions be higher than Lagos, port-harcourt, kano, Ibadan, ogun or Kaduna. These are the states with the highest GDP contributions in Nigeria. If anambra is that wealth Igbos won't be rushing down to Lagos and other South Western States on a daily basis.
