Kaduna state Governor,Nasir El Rufai has signed an agreement with Skipper Seil,an India company to build a 100MW solar power plant in the state. The governor also joined Skipper's Jitendra Sachdeva at the curtain-raiser of their EHV Power transformer manufacturing plant.

That's the part that has forced more forward thinking states like Lagos, Delta and Rivers to lag behind in their quest for stable power supply. If 6 more northern states can generate their own 100MW, i can tell u that in no time they understand how it feels the bear the burden of backward thinking parasitic states and support the idea of off-grid power projects to address local needs of states or region.

One thing am 100 percent sure of is that. That project will be 90% percent financed by federal government. That's the CURSE of One Nigeria.

Same people who opposed the southern states when they attempted same type of project that will meet their local needs now want to do their own off-grid power project. Rivers, Lagos and Delta all stop their own because they can't have the power generated to themselves alone under the law.

everything you must complain, every governor has the same entitlement, it depends on what your government decides to do with his. does el rufai have access to your oil money. question the federal government. stop doing all this north-south stuff. that's why we can never learn. we will always hate ourselves cuz of this separation.

Who are the "they"? This is a state govt initiative -kudos to el- Rufai for his foresight. Ask your state governor to do the same or more for his people rather than rant here fruitlessly.
